Jack in a box.

As famed gun merchant and narrator Marcus Kincaid would say, Borderlands is about stories: tales of villains and antiheroes, of weapons and treasure, and of course, of mysterious vaults safeguarding fantastic riches…or unspeakable horror. So the legends go, at least.

The best Borderlands has looked on a console; Side-splitting humor provided by a memorable cast of characters; Handsome Jack is both amusing and frightening; Low-gravity combat is a fun new take on an old recipe

Some missions lack proper pacing; The Pre-Sequel occasionally chugs during peak moments

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection

The Collection covers the rise and reign of Handsome Jack (so no original Borderlands, sadly), and includes all the previously-released DLC and the main games Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel. That means the choice of six different characters and the option to explore any location immediately.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Review – A Gajillion Dollars of Gameplay Content & Worth Every Penny

When the first Borderlands was released in 2009 2k Games seemed to have a hit under their belt, and the sequels, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, proved this as vault hunters everywhere continued to play them.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Review

The Borderlands series is hardly an amateur when it comes to collections. Both the original Borderlands and Borderlands 2 have Game of the Year editions, you can find bundles that include one or the other with BioShock , XCOM: Enemy Unknown , and Dishonored , and Steam frequently features special...

Good graphical remastering; Includes all DLC for both games; Save transfers; Four-player couch co-op

$60 is a bit pricey; Tags

It's the award wining Borderlands 2 in 1080p plus the Borderlands: Pre-sequel also in 1080p with all the DLC included, all for the price of one game. That in my opinion is a steal. Go get this game, there is no reason not to. Also the new four player split screen is way better than anyone expected.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection review – defying?Destiny

Some unfortunate technical problems distract from what is otherwise a very generous compilation, and an entirely legitimate alternative to Destiny.

Excellent value for money, with a bewildering array of DLC; Graphics look much better at a higher resolution and split screen co-op is a very welcome new feature

Lots of texture pop-in both games, and serious frame rate problems in The Pre-Sequel; Gunplay was never great, especially compared to Destiny

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Review | Butt Slams & Butt Stallions

The Short Version: Borderlands: The Handsome Collection gives a truly magnificent game and its fun if flawed sequel a new lick of paint... and gives us an excuse to play them through again.

Borderlands 2 is enormous and evergreen; shooting and looting still fantastic fun; The Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is extremely enjoyable despite its flaws; Sharp and crisp new HD assets; improved frame rate in some sections; Hectic 4-player splitscreen and useful character transfers; So much...

Appalling screen tearing in The Pre-Sequel; some frame rate problems and texture pop-in; The Pre-Sequel is still flawed despite clear potential; Badass ranks not transferring from last-gen

Too Good

This is such an awesome game. You basically get 2 full games and all its DLC for only 3000 Rupees. That is too less for an award winning game such as Borderlands. On previous gen and on PC, the Pre-Sequel Standalone is for 60$ so in this you save up alot of money.
