Borderlands

Borderlands is a first person shooter packed full of role playing features and is available on all major platforms. One of the core game mechanics is the randomised loot which is often seen in action RPGs such as the Diablo series.

Randomised weapons – Plenty of character development

Side quests are definitely quantity over quality

Borderlands: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned Review

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is the first installment in what will hopefully be a long line of downloadable content for the highly enjoyable Diablo -esque FPS, Borderlands . This Halloween-themed zombie-laden DLC is here just in time for… Thanksgiving!!

More Borderlands Fun; Zombies and Loot Goons; Humorous Plot; Good value for $10

The same problems that Borderlands already has

Borderlands

When I first read about Borderlands a few months ago, I was somewhat interested. To be honest, several other games releasing around the projected time took forefront in my mind, so the newly introduced FPS franchise from Gearbox Software fit into my plans mainly as a stop-gap between these other,...

Borderlands Review

Borderlands is a perfect multiplayer RPG-Shooter that offers loot hounds hours of fun. It has its flaws, though, and its grinding sensibilities probably won't appeal to everyone.

Borderlands PS3 Review

Fallout 3 may be plagued by game breaking bugs, but concealed behind it all is a wonderful game that mashes the FPS and RPG genres (perhaps because of their acronym titles, these two were always meant to be together) convincingly.

Borderlands: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is a nicely distilled slice of Borderlands that bodes well for future DLC potential. The dramatic moments that are fairly strung out in the main game happen with invigorating regularity.

Environments and enemies offer welcome variety; Great humor throughout; Good number of quests and areas; Same great gunplay; loot; and artistic style

Difficulty is based on your story progress rather than character level; Occasional visual slowdown

Borderlands Review - The Wastelands Go Co-Op

Gearbox took the trend of mashing together multiple genres and has put its cherry on top. The new shooter/RPG/MMO takes what others have done, refines it, throws in a slew of concepts and comes out smelling like a rose.

...You really got into Fallout 3 ; ...You've wanted to play World of Warcraft without all those elves and swords; ...You get a contact high from loot games

...There's never a good reason to open up the menus; ...You prefer to keep your genres separate; ...You prefer not to grind for levels

Borderlands

We've discovered a new psychological condition: Gun Envy. It begins with a peek at another player's weapon stats. Sleepless nights foll...

Creates stats addicition; Guns; guns; guns; A world full of character

A lot of same-looking environments; Sort of grindy like an MMO; Enemies are brainless meatbags

PS3/X360/PC Review - 'Borderlands' The Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC

Borderlands is an extraordinary cooperative experience, allowing for multiple players to share the same game experience simultaneously online. Players can freely join or leave each other's games at anytime, or choose to play in the full single-player mode.

Shank

There has never been a better time than now to make a downloadable game. Limbo, Flower and Braid are great examples of the unique experience they can bring and the latest title to follow in their footsteps is Shank.
