A great looking world war 2 arcade game which falls short in game-play

A world war 2 arcade flight game that has impressive visuals and sound effects but is annoying to play on a PC. One should still risk the game if he/she is truly loves the world war 2 motif. I would also advise using and/or testing the a joypad to play the game.

The game system is pretty simple; The game-play involves arcade style flying, and even the simulation mode is not too hard; The graphics and the sound effects are are based on world war 2 style motivational music; Lot of the game elements reflect the era very well.

The game pretty much falls short on everything; The game is designed for a analog stick controls much like the PS3 controller and therefore has terrible control on the PC; It will be very hard to play the game on PC without a controller as game-play involves precision flying which requires very...

Frustration

An eventful foray into the underbelly of Military development during war-time which delivers some interesting weapons. Multi-level and challenging ( unless you use the cheats which negates the point ). Thoroughly enjoyable and frustrating at the same time.

A good sequel, but I wonder if they should make a 3rd

I played Blazing Angels 1 some time ago (I may have even done a review on it, I cant remember) - this game was released a couple of years after the original and I think Ubisoft took on board most of the feedback comments from gamers from the original instalment.

Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII Review

Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII is an improvement over its predecessor, but still suffers from a few obvious flaws in its design to be considered a 'must-have' title. However, if you dig flying planes and shooting stuff, this title is certainly worth checking out.

turned out to be a mildly entertaining and relatively solid game, especially if you could wrap your head around the motion sensing controls. Rather than continuing the story, though, Ubisoft Romania decided to develop an entirely new title in

Blazing Angels II: Secret Missions

It's time to take to the skies once again in Blazing Angels II. As rogue operatives in a slightly fantastical World War II scenario, this time the what-ifs are a little more out there, and so are the planes and weapons.

One of the best PS3 game I've ever have

I like this game!!! It is fun and challenging. At first, I rented it 5 years ago when it was expensive. Now that I found it on ebay, I never had a doubt of bidding for this game. It is worth the price.

Awsome

Not a combat simulator but a very fun game none the less. Upgrade points earned through the campaign allow you to increase the effectivness of your planes. A new feature in this is the ability to customize your planes paint job with tons of different colors. Adds a fun spin to the game.

A little temperance is required when writing reviews...

Obviously reviews are very passionate affairs, but what many appear to lose is any sense of objectivity or restraint, often having hidden agendas underneath their so-called 3-line reviews... So here's an impartial one...
