Coming to the PS3 and PS4 in digital form is chaos-absolute chaos-in the form of Bladestorm Nightmare. I don't have a lot of experience with the Bladestorm franchise or it's Eastern brother, Dynasty Warriors (besides that one DW Gundam game I reviewed several years ago), so Bladestorm Nightmare is...
The title says it all.
Bladestorm: Nightmare is a re-imagining of Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War released on PlayStation 3 in 2007. Eight years later, Koei Tecmo has not only revamped the original game but also included a brand new mode "Nightmare", which utilises the Bladestorm formula but also switches things up by...
Somewhere in the world, there's a 14-year-old in an interminable high school history class who, just to stay awake, is probably imagining a scenario that looks a lot like Bladestorm: Nightmare.

When you think about the Hundred Years War, chances are it's mostly a foggy recollection of something from history class long gone in the hazy past. Ironically, outside of a few highlights, that's pretty much all there is to remember from that time.
Strategy games are pretty rare on a console. It's difficult to argue that RTS titles are better suited for the PC, which offers precise movement and numerous hotkeys. We've seen plenty of attempts, ranging from voice-controlled games to fast-paced heavy metal action games, but all have been found...
