Review: Verizon BlackBerry Bold 9930
We want to love the BlackBerry Bold and it's latest OS 7. But in the end we end up merely accepting it. Accepting that this is the best RIM can do for now as a stop-gap solution. The hardware is certainly the best they've put out yet. And the software at least looks the part.

Gorgeous hardware but lackluster performance
I traded my HTC EVO for a Blackberry Bold 9930 four months ago so I am ready for an honest review. Why the drastic change Well even though is a decade back wards in technology, I always been fond of BB and I hate virtual keyboards. First I must say that the 9930 is a outstanding machine.

The BlackBerry Bold 9930. You've got to hand it to RIM - the company may be spinning its wheels, but it's certainly not sitting still. - Speed and graphics performance greatly improved
- BlackBerry OS is dated and clunky
- Software selection is abysmal
- Cramped display can be troublesome

The BlackBerry Bold 9930 for Verizon Wireless--a smartphone with a small 2.8-inch display and no 4G data--costs $249. Seriously?- One of best keyboards ever on phone
- Responsive touchscreen
- Fast camera with 720p video
- Loud speaker
- Long battery life
- Display is too small
- No 4G data
- Browser doesn't support Flash
- Lackluster app selection
- Expensive
RIM BlackBerry Bold 9930 (Sprint)
Sprint's version of the new BlackBerry Bold 9930 offers a few key differences next to the Verizon version , the most compelling of which is less expensive monthly data plans. It's still not a shoo-in for a recommendation, though.- Sleek design
- Sharp screen
- Sublime QWERTY keyboard
- Unlocked SIM card slot for overseas travel
- No 4G
- No mobile hotspot mode
- Few compelling apps available
BlackBerry Bold 9930 review
BlackBerry has recently made strides in overhauling its brand with the BlackBerry Z10 , which serves as a strong smartphone candidate that's still a few steps behind its top Android and Apple competition.
The number 3 Button just fell off, no one has swapped it out even though it's within 30 days. Drops call. And now I have a phone that I can't dial a 3.
