Overall the PlayBook is a great bit of kit and a worthy rival in my opinion to the other 7 inch tablets on the market. That said, as it stands at the moment i don't think that a non BlackBerry user will get the most out of the PlayBook.

Every tablet with a new OS needs to start somewhere, and the newness of QNX naturally means there aren't as many apps available. But it's not the barren wasteland we were expecting.

The new tablet from Blackberry, the Playbook is a lot like Samsung Galaxy Tab and is priced in the same range as well. Coming right after the iPad2, Playbook has an edge over the former with superior cameras, but is pitted by the Apple tablet for its small display and lack of SIM support.
