Playbook is the first tablet launched by BlackBerry. I was very excited for it, but after purchasing and using it, ut was very disappointed by it. It has good design and the built quality but I lacks in features.

This is a good tablet. There are however some *quirks* when you have a Blackberry playbook that you quickly come to terms with. Generally, I just use this as what I like to phrase as 'the imdb machine' - you know when you're watching TV and want to know who so-and-so off of thingy is?
Just bought in combo with the blackberry classic. I was looking for a tablet smaller in size, that was quick and was not apple. The playbook has good features, fits well in your hands and feels well made. While I've only had it for 3 days the only drawback I see is the apps.
The Tab is simply good and once you hold it in your hand , you get the feel of having Blackberry Tab, which is truly good..! I am a blackberry fan and therefore would request them to add more apps and games option for free. Most of the apps and games are available on paid basis.
Battery Life; Operating System; Screen; Web Browsing; WiFi
Difficult To Customize
The BlackBerry PlayBook is a neat, compact and capable tablet. We like it, but sadly that isn't enough, as the lack of apps severely lets it down. Without apps, you'll often find yourself wondering what to do with this tablet – a problem you'd never have with the iPad 2.
One of the things we love about the BlackBerry PlayBook is the fact that it's among the smaller tablets, with the 7-inch screen making it portable enough to take wherever you go; The compact screen also leads to a light weight, with the 425g body easily light enough to hold comfortably in one hand...
The biggest problem with the BlackBerry PlayBook is a lack of apps; The Apple iPad 2, RIM's biggest rival, features loads of apps specifically designed for the tablet form factor, and the PlayBook really struggles to compete without them
RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook has had the first update to its operating system almost a year after its launch. While OS 2 isn't a revolution for tablets, it at least gives the PlayBook a fighting chance against the marauding hordes from Apple and Android .
Native email client; sharp 7-inch screen; pocketable size; gesture controls; 5-megapixel camera and decent 3-megapixel front-facing camera; HDMI port; HD video recording
Still not many apps; no BBM; limited Android app support
Every tablet with a new OS needs to start somewhere, and the newness of QNX naturally means there aren't as many apps available. But it's not the barren wasteland we were expecting.
Really it's a great experience for me by using this blackberry play book tab it's really made for me because firstly it's itself a name of trust which not only in india but in other countries also do there great job really I fully satisfied by this blackberry product
A nice little tablet that manages websites better and faster than any tablet I've tested, including ipad2 and several androidplattor. Bought it mainly for the media player, but find myself using it more and more for everyday surfing too. The screen is good but not the best on the market.
I just got my new playbook today and so far it is truly a beautiful and efficient tool. I will post another review in about 6 months after testing it out.
