BlackBerry PlayBook

Blackberry's first tablet PC, Blackberry Playbook is really a sensational device. It has 1GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU and runs on BlackBerry Tablet OS. Further, it is also featured with dual camera primary is of 5 MP and secondary one is of 3 MP.

BlackBerry PlayBook review

RIM has done a good job of designing a tablet aimed at a very particular type of business user, specifically its existing, security conscious BlackBerry smartphone owning customers.

BlackBerry PlayBook

The BlackBerry PlayBook is pleasantly designed, easy to use, powerful and packed with features. But we still don't think you should buy it. With so many core features requiring you to have a BlackBerry phone nearby, the PlayBook just isn't as versatile or practical as its competitors.

Speedy multitasking; excellent Flash video playback in the browser; smooth, intuitive user interface; well-designed music store

Must be connected to a BlackBerry phone for many key features to work; video calling only works between PlayBooks; fewer available apps than on competing platforms

RIM BlackBerry PlayBook Wi-Fi

RIM introduced the BlackBerry PlayBook as the first "professional tablet" not least thanks to the device's ability to sing along BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES). Feature wise, the PlayBook comes with a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, two cameras (5-megapixel on the back and 3-megapixel on...

Verizon 4G LTE network is incredibly fast; 32GB microSD card included; Integrated kickstand works in portrait and landscape

Battery life is among the worst weve ever seen; No 4G LTE power toggle option; Kickstand in landscape orientation blocks microUSB port

A nice little tablet that manages websites better and faster than any tablet I've tested, including ipad2 and several androidplattor. Bought it mainly for the media player, but find myself using it more and more for everyday surfing too. The screen is good but not the best on the market.

BlackBerry PlayBook Review

Overall the PlayBook is a great bit of kit and a worthy rival in my opinion to the other 7 inch tablets on the market. That said, as it stands at the moment i don't think that a non BlackBerry user will get the most out of the PlayBook.

Awesome

I just got my new playbook today and so far it is truly a beautiful and efficient tool. I will post another review in about 6 months after testing it out.

This is the best purchase I've ever made. An absolute steal for the money. It's like a mini laptop of the highest quality. The price on this was $599 when it was introduced in 2011. I could care less about the supposed lack of apps. The size, feel and build are perfect. The OS is perfect.

Not a good choice

This playbook is the main reason I'm getting something I was trying to avoid............an Ipad. But, paying more and having more satisfaction is probably worth it in the long run. I was going to get more playbooks for our children, but not now. Dead battery in 5 months is not acceptable to me.

7 inch and 'seems' durable

glitchy software and must be reset often; Battery charging issues
