Not a smartphone, a pretty useless one at that!
I got this phone iny my first year of university. I thought this is going to be a great phone and it was first real 'smartphone' so I was excited. To begin with I thought wow this is really amazing, and I was SO anti iphone.

BlackBerry Curve 8520 review
RIM (BlackBerry) is continuing its push into the consumer smartphone space with the launch of a BlackBerry Curve model that will cost markedly less on a monthly contract that previous models and that will also be available on a pay as you go basis.

BlackBerry Curve 8520
I was subsequent to a Nokia 5800 similar to the one I got for my girlfriend, but buy this one on offer with the BB BIS service. On the advantage side we've got. - Extremely good battery life. - Email addition really shines, I got many of accounts, even a Zimbra one & BB just handles them all.

BlackBerry Curve 8520 Review
Other than perhaps some missing style flourishes and the lack of 3G connectivity, the Curve 8520 is a real BlackBerry.

- Excellent sound quality
- edits Microsoft Office attachments
- trackpad simplifies navigation
- Compatible with T-Mobile myFaves
- quality photos
Cons:
- Small keypad difficult for direct dialing
- EDGE instead of 3G connectivity
- no preloaded BlackBerry App Store
- can't change menu themes

I wanted a unlocked phone and I got this phone pretty fast from the seller. Earlier I had bought one but was having some issues, hence decided to try this one.
