Blackberry Bold 9700 Review

Still hot on the shelves for this winter holiday's shopping, Blackberry Bold 9700 features the same elegant business aspect, but fails to impress more than its predecessors. Considered as the right disciple of the older Bold 9000 smartphone, the new 9700 presents itself with little to none...
Pros:
  • The small upgrades done are some of the best highlights of the smartphone as well: best browser integrated in a BB device
  • QWERTY keyboard
  • touch-sensitive optical trackpad
  • DivX and Xvid support
  • 3.5mm port jack
  • great multimedia features (sound and video)
  • Wi-Fi
  • GPS and HSDPA connectivity.
Cons:
  • One thing I was disappointed with was the mediocre camera, even though I had expected that
  • Also, the addition of an FM radio feature would have been great
  • A larger screen and built-in compass would have been welcomed as well.

RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700

cut quite a dash when it debuted last year, signalling clearly to any doubters that Research in Motion was moving the BlackBerry out of the boardroom and into the pockets and handbags of consumers who had need for its exemplary e-mail service in their day-to-day lives.

So here we have the Blackberry 9700, also popularly known as the Bold 2. (RIM went as far as etching "Bold" on the back of the phone as well – something not present on the original Blackberry 9000, the Bold). The original Bold was the first of it's kind.

BlackBerry Bold 9700 Review

Quite a lot of recent RIM's BlackBerry phones looked quite alike (Bold and the Curve) and it could mean one of two things a€" either RIM doesna€?t have any more design ideas left or it has almost perfected the form factor that many people loved about the qwerty smartphone that it doesna€?t want to...

RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700

Tweet Holding the Bold 9700 in the palm of your hand, you know that BlackBerry has created a quality device. It looks classy and ready for business, with the chrome edges adding an elegant touch to the black body. As a messaging device, the Bold performs as well as you expect from a BlackBerry.
Pros:
  • All you really need from a smartphone is there- excellent messaging
  • Wi-Fi
  • HSDPA
Cons:
  • Browsing is an ugly affair
  • a boring (but effective) UI
  • smallish keys might bother some

BlackBerry® Bold 9700 Boldly steps up.

By now everyone has to know what a Big Fan I am of BlackBerry's so it's no surprise I am enjoying this BlackBerry® Bold 9700 on the T-Mobile Network (3G, EDGE, GPRS, WiFi). The Bold feels Slightly heavier than the Curve and has a nice leathery texture on the rear cover.

BlackBerry Bold 9700

I've had this phone for almost two months and it is by far the best phone I've ever owned. The internet connections are fast. The rollerball has now been replaced with a more smoother track ball and it's easier to navigate. The display pictures for each menu is very big and easy to get around.

Review: BlackBerry Bold 9700

Research in Motion (RIM) recently launched updates to its main corporate emailer devices, the Bold and the Storm. As I'm a BlackBerry user anyway, I've been putting both devices through their paces to see which, if either, is worth upgrading to. Firstly, the Bold 9700 .
Pros:
  • Small and light
  • decent battery life
Cons:
  • Mobile browsing can be slow
  • over-sensitive trackpad
