Review of RIM's BlackBerry Torch 9810 (AT&T) QWERTY slider smartphone
Research In Motion's BlackBerry Torch 9810 is the second iteration of the company's original touchscreen/QWERTY slider smartphone. It replaces the 9800 model offered by AT&T last year, and offers upgrades on a number of the main components - not the least of which is the new high-res touchscreen...
Pros:
- Solid hardware build
- high-res display
- fantastic camera
- dependable keyboard
Cons:
- Mediocre battery life for a BlackBerry
- OS looks nice but feels dated
- bad lags at times

Blackberry Torch 9810
It is easy to look at the Torch 9810 and feel that it is not a whole lot different to the original. Physically they are almost identical, but the Torch 9810 has had some major improvements made inside.

When it comes to typing on a phone, you need something that's fast, reliable and enjoyable to use. Recently there's been a trend towards combining full QWERTY keyboards with touch-screens. Take the HTC ChaCha, the Samsung Galaxy Pro and the Nokia E6, for instance.
Pros:
- Great screen
- amazing keyboard
- speedy processor
Cons:
- It?s huge and heavy
- while the app store still leaves much to be desired

RIM BlackBerry Torch 9810
The Torch 9810 is the second of RIM's recent hat-trick of BlackBerry devices to hit the shelves. Indeed, you might have heard there are five, but currently only three models will be made available in the UK.

The 3.2 inches touchscreen feels just about adequate for somebody who's been using touchscreen smartphones. The 480×640 resolution gives the Torch 9810 a very respectable 250ppi pixel density. Pretty much any image and text on the screen looks clear and rich in color.
