BlackBerry Torch 9810

There are now two BlackBerry Torch models in RIM's armoury: the 9810 we're reviewing here and the 9860 that we've previously reviewed. The 9810 is a slider phone packing a full QWERTY keyboard essentially the same design as the phone it replaces, the Torch 9800.
Pros:
  • Screen space and physical keyboard
  • BB email is still great
Cons:
  • Design isn't great
  • lots of lag
  • browser crashes
  • screen lock key is far too soft
  • OS isn't as refined as rivals

Disgracefully Pathetic Service @ BlackBerry Centre

This is to bring to your notice that I, Aradhya Kumar, am the owner of a BlackBerry Torch 9810 (Torch 2 -- IMEI : 357694042067164). My phone had encountered some kind of error in the OS due to which it would repeatedly restart i.e. it would never start.

Time to give up on BlackBerry

I had a Torch 9800 for 2 1/2 yrs and never had a problem. My contract was up and decided to upgrade the phone to Torch 9810, what a mistake that was. The first phone I returned within a wk because the battery would not hold a charge. Best Buy was great and gave me a new phone.
Pros:
  • Easy to use
Cons:
  • Battery life is short
  • frequently update and freezes

Blackberry Torch 2 retains the same hybrid touch-screen and keypad design as its predecessor, with the majority of changes under the hood. RIM will ship the 3.2in smartphone with a 1.2GHz processor, 8GB of internal storage and Blackberry OS 7.

BlackBerry Torch 9810 Review

It's been more than a year since we reviewed the BlackBerry Torch 9800 , RIM's hybrid touch/QWERTY slider, and while the company says the smartphone has gone on to be one of their more popular devices, we couldn't get past the underwhelming screen resolution and easily choked processor.

Hands on: BlackBerry Torch 9810

Last year RIM introduced the BlackBerry Torch 9800 , a touchscreen/QWERTY-keyboard hybrid. Almost exactly a year later, the BlackBerry Torch 9810 ($50 with a two-year contract from AT&T as of August 16, 2011) has arrived.
