Ordinary Product
Blackberry is on the decline, and the Torch does nothing to redeem it's brand visibilty in the public. A poor camera, an outdated keyboard that's irritating in this age of touchscreen phones and an ordinary battery life makes the BlackBErry Torch seem more of a has been.

Last year, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 was by far the most touted device out of RIM's camp mainly due to its new form factor and updated platform experience. It was expected to be a rival of other high-end smartphones at that time, but unfortunately (for RIM), it was unable to establish itself as a...
Pros:
- Much more responsive platform experience
- Vastly superior web browsing performance
Cons:
- Recycled design

Many smartphones aim for bigger designs to fit all their features. The BlackBerry Torch 9810 is different, as it continues using the same design as older Torch models, but it still packs tons of power into the device to make it a smooth and fast smartphone.
Pros:
- The BlackBerry 7 OS is intuitive and easy to learn
Cons:
- Everything about this phone feels old and out-dated

BlackBerry Torch 9810: Solid, Responsive, and Slightly Underwhelming

BlackBerry Torch 9810 4G

BlackBerry Torch 9810 review
For those who haven't followed my smartphone history (and I suspect many haven't), last December I gave up my BlackBerry Curve 8530 for an Android phone. It's true, I was long a BlackBerry (and BlackBerry Messenger) addict, but as of December 2010, RIM left me with no other choice but to abandon...
Pros:
- Good camera
- Sturdy build
- Snappy performance
Cons:
- Same old design
- OS is seriously dated
- App selection is quite terrible

RIM BlackBerry Torch 9810 (AT&T)
In a world led by BlackBerry, the BlackBerry Torch 9810 ($49.99) would be king. Built on the same platform as RIM's other new BlackBerry Bold and Torch smartphones, the Torch 9810 is dramatically faster than previous BlackBerrys, with a far better Web browser and a much more powerful processor.
Pros:
- Speedy UI and camera
- Excellent battery life
- Very good keyboard
- Uses less data than other smartphones
Cons:
- Brand-new OS already feels old
- Very few apps
- Over-reports signal strength

BlackBerry Torch 9810 review
The BlackBerry Torch 9810 has some nice new additions, but it's far too similar to the original handset and, as a result, really struggles to stand out from the crowd
Pros:
- Fast processor
- great screen
- BlackBerry OS 7 has some new tricks
- updated BBM
- latent NFC capabilities
Cons:
- It's chunky
- doesn't stand out from the crowd
- too similar to original Torch
- BlackBerry 7 doesn't feel up to the challenge
