BlackBerry Torch 9810 review
This time last year, BlackBerry fans were salivating at the imminent release of the Torch 9800 . For the first time, those who'd been demanding a touchscreen smartphone from RIM (without SurePress, which we'll just gloss over) were getting their way with the safety net of a keyboard below that slid...

Blackberry Torch 9810
Following hot on the heels of the Blackberry Bold 9900, RIM has introduced an updated version of the Torch. As well as the new Blackberry OS 7 software, it also has a beefed up processor, more memory and an improved camera that's capable of shooting HD video.
Pros:
- Fast and responsive
- Good keyboard
- Impressive screen
Cons:
- User interface can be text heavy
- So-so camera
- Big and heavy design

From a distance, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between the new BlackBerry Torch 9810 and its predecessor, the Torch 9800. But it's what makers RIM have crammed inside this touchscreen-keyboard combo.
Pros:

BlackBerry Torch 9810 (T-Mobile)
The RIM BlackBerry Torch 9810 should satisfy BlackBerry fans with its responsive touch screen and overall specs, but for $50 more, T-Mobile customers could get the much better Bold 9900 instead.
Pros:
- The RIM BlackBerry Torch 9810 has a sharp and vibrant touch screen
- a decent physical keyboard
- BlackBerry 7 OS
- a 1.2GHz processor
- and 720p HD video recording
Cons:
- The RIM BlackBerry Torch 9810's design is similar to a previous generation model
- and it is far more expensive than the AT&T version of the same phone

BlackBerry Torch 9810 review
BlackBerry may have lost its dominance of the business phone market, but you've got to give manufacturer RIM credit for keeping up in an increasingly crowded race. Of its recent slew of handsets the Torch 9810 is the one with the slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and includes a capacitive touchscreen and...

Blackberry Torch 9810
Generally, I would say that this is a fairly decent phone! Within recent years Blackberry has been trending towards irrelevance, in my opinion. Most of their devices seem to be out of date, and they seem to have trouble keeping up with more popular brands, like Apple and HTC.

BlackBerry Torch 2
The BlackBerry Torch 2 is a handsome looking smartphone. The most noticeable change from the original Torch is the more attractive checkered, gun-metal finish that wraps the device. The touchscreen, at 640x480 pixel resolution, is naturally responsive and boasts impressive color vibrancy.

Review erroneously states Torch does not have UMA
Having had the TMO version of this handset only for a day, I don't yet have a comprehensive review (look for it in my Amazon reviews section in a month or so). I just would like to add the Torch 9810 does have UMA.
Pros:
- Blackberry-with-everything
- WiFi Calling
- and some added frequencies the traveler will like
Cons:
- For some
- it's a Blackberry

Ordinary Product
Blackberry is on the decline, and the Torch does nothing to redeem it's brand visibilty in the public. A poor camera, an outdated keyboard that's irritating in this age of touchscreen phones and an ordinary battery life makes the BlackBErry Torch seem more of a has been.
