A game for girls.

I know i'll be hated throughout for writing this review but this game is not for a gamer. When you are playing you expect to be using your fingers and your brain. And you can be sure none of either you will need to play this game. About the game.

5 stars great game

One of the best games I've played, didn't want to stop playing, the acting is great and really draws you in and the game itself is gripping and tugs on you emotionally

Beyond: Two Souls Review

Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe give it their all. The story awkwardly attempts do the same.

Stunning display; Ellen Page and Willen Dafoe give it their all

Gameplay design doesn't support the action segments in a believable or captivating way

Beyond: Two Souls review – Heavy Rain part?2

The visuals are incredible, but for a game obsessed with storytelling at all costs the dopey plot and underwritten characters in no way make up for the lack of gameplay.

Incredible graphics, both in terms of the facial animation and backdrops; A superb central performance from Ellen Page

Silly, tonally inconsistent story and shallow characterisation; Very little real gameplay and far more linear than it likes to pretend

Immersive and enjoyable

Very clever game. It's a shame that the never ending development of games and consoles means that many people will not play some of the gems that came out on PS3.

Beyond: Two Souls deepens our human connection to video game characters (review)

We roll our eyes when Hollywood tries to imitate games. Most directors fail to capture the spirit of a series in a way that tells a good story. They get caught up in all the action and special effects.

Only one person teared up more than I did during my playthrough of Beyond, and that was Page's character, Jodie Holmes; She has a lot to be upset about; She's a lonely girl who smiles little, and at first what I perceived as aloofness is really her defense mechanism.

The methods for controlling Jodie and Aiden are arbitrary; You won't mind, but Beyond finds an excuse to use just about every button to give players the impression of complexity; What matters is how players use these buttons to perform sequences - hand-to-hand combat, running and avoiding various...

great game

The game itself is challenging and plays beautifully but it takes too long to develop the story, and it jumps back and forth too much, but as you progress you get really captivated

story driven; difficult; challenging

slow paced

Beyond: Two Souls (PS3) Review

Ken goes beyond storytelling to see how much emotion he can muster.

+ Great overall story; + Combat mechanics; + Visuals are amazing

Actions remove immersion; Ending drags out; Some weak performances

Say you'll haunt me.

The PS4 port of Beyond: Two Souls doesn't fix the game's core issues. It's still a very stilted, awkward experience in spots, usually right after a stretch where the gameplay and narrative get everything right.

Great graphical upgrades; Wonderful performances from Page and Dafoe; Strong implementation of QTEs and branching paths

Inconsistent supporting cast; Some messy tonal shifts
