After much research I decided on the Beko 8kg heat pump dryer and I'm very happy with it and will never return to a vented dryer again. Having a self contained unit means I don't have to have a window or door open when drying and no more condensation running down my walls. The clothes take a little longer to dry (about 2.5 hours on average) but they come out so soft and there's no need to iron them (added bonus). I've done the calculations and the running costs are very low compared to a vented dryer so the extra money I've spent on the dryer itself will pay off in no time. When opening the door at the end of the cycle the clothes feel a little damp but by the time I've emptied the water tank and cleaned the filter they are perfect! The only reason I've given 4 stars is because I've found when drying sheets that they bunch into a ball and I have to fluff them out and then put them back in to complete the drying process.

This dryer is great for me. I never owned a heat pump dryer before and now that I’m living in a one bedroom one bathroom apartment I only have a small cupboard area for my laundry. The heat pump technology is great for someone with small laundry spaces as with my previous dryer I always had to make sure I kept the bathroom fan on and the laundry cupboard door open and sometimes even the windows open as well to avoid the condensation running down the walls and eventually damage the walls and also do all the heat wouldn’t steam up the small laundry area so much. With this heat pump dryer I don’t need to keep the bathroom fan on or all the doors and windows open. It’s great!

Having used other dryers in the past, I did not expect this one to be so good. It dries my laundry very effectively, and most of the time, faster than the initial time remaining that starts on the display. It can even dry quite bulky items like a duvet inner without trouble. It also uses surprisingly little electricity. It is now my washing machine that uses more when I'm doing a laundry in hot water.

I've had my machine for a few weeks now and so far I've been very happy with it. Yes, it does take a longer time to dry, but it does a great job and dries all my clothes very well, without blowing hot air, which creates mold. I use the cupboard dry setting and have had no problem with it drying my clothes thoroughly. I empty the water and lint after every session as its very easy to do.

Great price and the dryer works great. I have only used it a few times. My only issue is there is a terrible smell. My clothes come out smelling horrible. It smells like a fridge that has been closed for ages. That closed appliance smell. I called the place I purchased it from and they had no advice on what I should do. I would use it more if it didnt make my clothes smell so bad.
