Gets the job done at the best price around.

I bought this mic to use with my Real Time Analyzer (RTA)/EQ. The mic works perfectly for this purpose (this IS after all what it was designed to do), but at a fraction of the cost of other RTA mics on the market.

"Straight Arrow" Audio

If ever there were a microphone that was designed and manufactured WITHOUT any thought being given to its use in Amateur radio. the Behringer ECM8000 would have to be that microphone.

ECM8000 review

I used this for measurement using the REW program and it worked great. I was able to get much better results with this mic than with a LDC. I'll probably try it for recording with a portable device in places I'd prefer to not take expensive stuff.

"Great for the money. Pretty close to Earthworks calibration mics that cost 6x as much."

Pretty accurate despite the Behringer name. Close to an Earthworks at 1/6th the cost.

Great Reference Mic for Low Dollars

This mic works! I have used the Sabine SQ 1001. Priced at 299.00 and the ECM8000 (49.99) responds with virtually the same free field results as the Sabine. Not to cut Sabine equipment short.

"Spare" - stompboxjon

The ECM8000 comes with a gold plated 3 p in XLR connector and it will work with phantom power as long as the voltage is +15 to +48 volts. The response with the ECM8000 is very flat, it is actually more flat than some 200 dollar similar condensers that I have used and heard over the years.

ECM8000 - Behringer Ecm8000 Omnidirectional Measurement Microphone

Used with the Behringer Driverack to setup multiple speaker stacks. Place this mic where you want the sound to be concentrated and let the Driverack do it's own thing. This combo saves a lot of setup time.
