I recently purchased a set of BeoPlay E8 truly witless in-ear earphones and can't be happier with them.
Earbud connectivity for left earbud is a challenge. Overall sound is very good and battery life a little less than expected.
Sound is great
Left earbud connectivity is challenging; drops frequently
Connection keeps dropping and sound between left and right ear bud varies a lot and often hear crackling noises Go buy the new Apple ones or Sennheiser
So I have just returned my second pair, the first issue I had was that unless I returned the buds to the charging dock after use the left bud's battery would deplete, looks like the right master bud does not send a power down signal to the left bud, from what I now understand this is normal behavior...
recieved these lovely earphones only to find they would not link via bluetooth to any of my devices, samsung phone, iPhone or iPad. a second pair sent to me, they didn't work either. Must be a problem with the Bluetooth they use as other labels link no problem. Both pairs sent back.
My hope when I stuck the $300 Beoplay E8s into my ears for the first time was that they'd immediately stand out as the best truly wireless earbuds I'd ever tried. For that kind of money, and with B&O Play's strong reputation , why shouldn't they
Premium; unobtrusive design; Nice carrying case; Comply foam ear tips in the box; No audio delay when watching videos
Too many dropouts to justify high price; Annoying bug shifts music balance to left earbud; Case uses MicroUSB; Average battery life; Frustrating / annoying firmware update system
B&O will need to go back to the drawing board to sort out a few issues but for a first attempt they've done pretty well.
The Beoplay E8 true wireless earbuds have a great battery life and surprisingly good sound, but the high price and annoying connectivity make it hard to recommend to anyone that doesn't enjoy burning cash.
Battery life; Pretty good sound; Slick charging case; Transparancy features are great; Playback controls work perfectly
Price; Doesn't auto-connecting when you open the case; No sweat resistance; Weak EQ options in the app; Uncomfortable
Sonically, the Beoplay E8 is capable of many sound signatures, but its baseline will please plenty of listeners. Functionally, the design fits securely and is easy to use. Generally speaking, this is a very good pair of earphones, but there is the issue of price to consider.
Powerful audio performance with deep bass and crisp highs; App features adjustable EQ; Very secure in-ear fit; Excellent mic clarity
Expensive; Transparency mode can be confusing before adjustments are made
Let's get one thing out of the way – the B&O Beoplay E8 are the nicest looking and most expensive wireless earphones you can buy.
Good audio quality; Exceptional design; Easy to setup
Can feel a bit snug
