A great effort from Audio Technica: these are a good pair of portable over-ears If you're looking for a portable pair of over-ears and you like your sound a little warm, for the money, the Audio Technica ATH-M50x are well worth checking out.
Decent detail; Good separation; Good sense of life
Sounds a little thick; Could do with greater clarity and dynamic punch
Great sound, voice and instrument are very clear (monitor). Bass not too much, enough for my liking. Comfort is top notch for me. Wore it for couple of hours did not hurt my ears at all.
Audio-Technica's ATH M50 headphones have been a popular studio workhorse since their introduction. Lightweight and comfortable enough for prolonged use, offering useful levels of isolation from external sound, and competitively priced, they tick all the important boxes.
The Audio Technica ATH-M50x is the latest revision of a legendary headphone, and with this iteration I feel their position in the pantheon of all-time great headphones is permanently secure.
