The Audio Technica ATH-M50X headset will definitely be welcomed by audiophiles as the headphones to go for. They are one of the more popular headphones that are well under $200 whilst sounding exceedingly professional.
Pros:
- Good quality construction Soft plush material on ear cups and head band Quite flexible body 3 different cables provided Balanced audio Punchy bass
Cons:
- Diaphragm break up might occur on high volumes All plastic construction Proprietary audio jack

Amazing audio! Makes high quality music sound like heaven, I use them to listen to music all day while I'm at work and they're comfy, have a very high build quality, and sound incredible :)

Audio-Technica ATH-M50x
It is as much of a shitter headphone now as it was 5 years ago. Still sounds like a turd with needles being force fed into your ear. Don't buy it.
Pros:
- Serviceable Build
Cons:
- Everything else

Great Headphones / REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
I've been a long time fan of Audio Technica, I currently own 3 pair of these headphones. Since they've changed to a detachable cable (which is a great idea), it seems that the quality of the cables have taken a nose dive.
Pros:
- Great sound
- Great price
Cons:
- Headphone jack breaks easily

Audio-Technica ATH-M50x
The Audio-Technica ATH-M50x are the consumer follow-up to the ATH-M50, a pair of headphones designed for the pros that proved so popular with normal folk it seemed silly not to make a slightly more friendly edition.
Pros:
- Powerful bass
- Good stereo imaging and separation
- Great value among peers
Cons:
- Bass is somewhat overemphasised
- Isolation could be better
