Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Headphones Review
Great news! Audio- Technica has recently introduced its revamped line of studio-grade and very much professional over-ear headphones. One of them being a new mid-level flagship successor to one of the more well known and admired headphones in recent years - the ATH -M50 .

Wonderful Headphones
For the price, these headphones are quite a deal. If you are looking at them I would strongly recommend buying them, but also look at some headphones like the Beyer Dynamic Custom One Pros or DT770's that are in the same price range.
Pros:
- Where do I start? -Build Quality is excellent
- The headband is very flexible, all the pivot points and rotation points are very solid and work great
- This is made mostly of plastic, but it does not feel like plastic
- -Features are plentiful.
Cons:
- The one minor detail I would mention is the amount of padding on the headband is a little less then there could be
- It can be uncomfortable for a month or so until you break them in and get use to wearing them.

When we last reviewed the M50 we were knocked out by its performance for just ￡120. Well, AT has monopolised the M50's lead in the shape of a brand new M50x, and added the M40x and M30x for those who need quality at an even keener price.

Audio-Technica ATH-M50X Review
The sound, the looks, and the build quality of the Audio-Technica ATH-M50X all combine to make an awesome package. Oh, and they're under $200 dollars too.
Pros:
- Great looking
- Great build quality
- Excellent sound
- Long cords provided
Cons:
- Cord is proprietary
- Soundstage is lacking

The Audio Technica ATH M50xBL is the latest model of the M50 line of headphones. You may ask the question what is the difference between the XBL edition of the headphones compared to the other M50x's. The BL simply stands for blue.

Audio Technica M50X Studio Headphones - Black ATH-M50X review
Quibbles aside, the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x headphones are a modestly improved version of the already spectacular model they're based on, and among the best-sounding pairs you'll find for less than $200.
Pros:
- The Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Professional Studio Monitor Headphones offer excellent build quality and very detailed, balanced sound with tight bass
- They're also very comfortable and have slightly more cushiony earcups along with a detachable-cord design (three cords are included).
Cons:
- There's no integrated microphone for making cell phone calls and the bulkier design makes them less suitable for mobile use.
