Great for studio days, not so much daily listening

I use these headphone for everday use and occasonally for more professional/studio time. The extended ford it wonderful when I'm in the studio and need to move to the far corners.,But is a nuisance when I just want to use my affordable high quality headphones walking across campus.

Audio-Technica ATH-M30x

Finally getting around to posting a review of these beauties, so here goes. I've been using these as my JOAT cans for work, music, and on the go listening. Their tank like build quality and price really makes me not even think twice about throwing them about or mistreating them.
Pros:
  • Solid build quality
Cons:

Audio Technica ATH-M30X are a decent pair of headphones with a very industrial look, unlike the jazzy looks of Beats and Bose. For less than $70 they offer balanced audio, which is a rare thing at this price point.
Pros:
  • Punchy bass Balanced audio response Simple and rugged design Comfortable to wear for long hours Great passive noise isolation Low price point
Cons:
  • Harmonic distortion at higher frequencies Sound stage feels a little constricted near the head Too long cable Non detachable cable

Great sound, comfortable, and most importantly...STURDY

For the money, these are fantastic. The sound is true to the recording. If you are looking for lots of bass, these are not right for you. There is a bit of favor to midrange on these headphones but to truly appreciate the range of your music this will be appreciated

Noise canceling is great

Bought these hoping they'd cancel out noise since I can't be productive in a noisy environment, they do exactly that! Plus, while you can't adjust the bass at all I feel like it's perfect as is. Not to mention the cord is nice and long!

Outstanding Bang For Your Buck, Nicely Designed Successor To M30

The Audio Technica ATH-M30x are excellent sounding headphones in the sub $100 range. I'm using the M30x as a second pair of headphones to listen to music and when watching movies or TV shows on an iPhone, iPad, or through an AV receiver.
