Since I recently got my hands on the Audio Technica ATH-ANC700BT, I have been curious to try them alongside the JBL E65BTNC. Both are the same price at $199, and they both are wireless noise cancelling headphones. Which headphone is best for which type of person

I figured for my first ever wireless headphone review I'd start out with an Audio Technica Product! I've typically found their products usually meet my criteria in this $150 price point. That said, I did receive the ATH ANC700BT at not cost as a review sample from an indsutry assocaite.

When I got these headphones I thought the noise cancelling would be due to the over the ear design and quality build. I was amazed that you turn noise cancelling on and off! It truly is special when noise cancelling is turned on!

I am satisfied with this for the price I paid. I know of better systems that cost double, but I didn't want to spend the money. Once I got used to them, I was surprised at how loud airplane noise is while over the wings. I tested this with a crying baby behind me on a recent flight.

Audio Technica is already a pro audio powerhouse, but over the past few years the company has made a big push into consumer audio too - and with a ton of success. We've reviewed a few of their headphones, including the ATH-DSR7BT , and loved them.
