Very Happy

Bought this as a present for my husband. Not knowing anything about the new technology for turntables, I did do some research. This one consistently had good reviews (PS: there's always going to be one 'bad apple' in the barrel).

Disappointed

Received the first unit and ended up returning it for a replacement due to noise from the motor. As always B&H was great about it. Received the second unit and am hearing the same noise. So much so that you can hear it through speakers during quiet parts of an album.

solid build, superb sound nothing negative to say at all. Should be in with a shout for best turntable under £500 2016 (if there is such a reward)

sound quality is on another level ! there is a reason this got a 5star review.

Great item at an affordable price

I'd been looking for a better quality turntable that wouldn't damage my record now I have a larger/more up to date collection. However, I didn't want to spend a fortune, this is the perfect option. Easy to set up, looks stylish and modern and the output is great.

Fantastic Quaility

"I did a lot of research on turntables before choosing this one, and it's such a solid, good quality piece of equipment. Extremely well made and I'm over the moon to finally be able to drag the vinyl out of the cellar and listen to it again.

Ease to use; Good build quality; Value for money; Looks good; None

Audio Technica AT-LP5 review

Audio Technica has got the balance spot on with this turntable, offering a great build and useful functionality while not forgetting the most important thing – sound quality. The LP5’s strengths here ensure it is a genuine all-rounder no matter your music tastes, sounding every bit as impressive with jazz as it does with jungle, not to mention pop and rock. While the more traditional Rega Planar 1 might just pip it for outright sonic capability, you’ll have to spend a lot more money to top this great combination of build, features and performance.

Stacks of detail; Wide, open soundstage; Great build quality; Strong built-in phono stage;

Nothing at this price;
