It's somewhat surprising just how long it's taken for phone manufacturers to really cotton onto the phenomena that is ‘selfies'. With its new Zenfone Selfie, Asus becomes one of the very few very few manufacturers to make a phone dedicated to the photographic self portait.

The Asus Zenfone Selfie takes good selfies indeed. However, with the powerful front camera, we expected even better. There is still a slight hint of pixelation in slightly dimmed fluorescent light conditions, although it does do a much better job than most other phones out there.

Success begets success seems to be the mantra adopted by Asus as it dramatically ramps up the Zenfone range of handsets on offer. The successful launch of the Zenfone 2 has led to a spate of hardware reveals including the Zenfone 2 Deluxe, Selfie, Laser and Max variants.

When ASUS Malaysia unveiled the new ZenFone 2 line-up earlier this year , consumers were presented with five different options to choose from. Soon, they will even have even models to consider as the company is bringing in new models that are part of the expanded second generation ZenFone family...

At the end of the day, the Selfie is a great addition to ASUS' Zenfone lineup and is a solid alternative to the Zenfone 2. People looking for a device that has a battery that lasts without compromising too much on sheer number crunching power and a powerful front facing camera shouldn't look further...

i am using this phn around of 20-25 days ago and m very happy wid this phn. in every section this phone performs very well. specially front camera which is 13mp is best hardware. it gives you 3 gb of ram which is enough for all operations. i am giving 5/5 rating.
