ZenFone!

I have been using this phone for about a month and am very happy with it. It has fantastic voice call reception and battery life. The camera is very good; I find that it works best on the "auto" setting.

Asus ZenFone Zoom review

There have been huge advancements in the lens technology found in today's smartphones, but it's still commonly the low point of the experience. The Asus ZenFone Zoom hopes to reverse that trend.

Asus ZenFone Zoom (Unlocked)

The Zoom ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop , which is starting to feel a bit long in the tooth now that Android 6.0 Marshmallow is showing up on more devices . Asus has confirmed that the ZenFone 2 line will get Marshmallow.

3x optical zoom; Manual camera controls; Premium build

Sluggish camera app; No 4K video; Unimpressive battery life; Dated UI with heavy skin and lots of bloatware

Asus ZenFone Zoom review

Do you need a zoom lens on your phone? For years, consumers have been more than satisfied with the default focal length of iPhones and Android handsets. It's a wide - but not too wide - view that feels very natural.

Premium look and feel; microSD card support; Great dedicated shutter button

The camera itself is lacking; Too many useless apps; Average battery life

Asus Zenfone Zoom

The Asus Zenfone Zoom may have an optical zoom camera, but the image quality isn't worth Rs. 37,999. It's basically a Zenfone 2 with optical zoom, which doesn't make sense at this price range.

Good performance; Good display

Sub-par camera image quality; Sub-par battery life

Asus ZenFone Zoom

The Asus ZenFone Zoom is the first phone with an optical zoom lens that doesn't protrude out of the phone, a mighty impressive accomplishment. But don't start tossing money at Asus just yet.

Asus' ZenFone Zoom breaks new ground with a built-in optical zoom camera that doesn't stick out or appear to move; Photos taken are generally great, but worse in low light

The phone software peppers you with ads by default; Camera performance feels sluggish

Asus ZenFone Zoom Review: Optical Zoom Impresses

Under the right circumstances, the ZenFone Zoom really shines, with an impressive optical zoom and dedicated camera buttons that I wish more phone makers would emulate. But the phone's lackluster image processing can make that optical zoom feel more like a powerful parlor trick than a headline...

Rear camera has 3x optical zoom; Dedicated camera controls; Built-in manual photo mode; Removable leather back; 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage come standard

White balance issues with camera; Subpar battery life; Mediocre audio; Clunky interface

At a glance, you may assume the phone we're testing here is one you've seen before -- a Nokia clone perhaps? Despite having a similar circular camera fixture on the handset's back side, suggesting a strong focus on photography, this is actually a newly released phone produced by ASUS.
