ASUS ZenBook UX430UA-DH74 Review

Asus continues to make smaller and more powerful ultrabooks, that compete with the likes of Apple and Dell on every other aspect, except pricing. As more people demand for more a more powerful computer that's powerful enough to handle most everyday computing tasks, the like of the Asus ZenBook...

While both the i5 and i7 are great for school work, the i7-7500u is only a duo core and performs very poorly compared to the new i5-8520u quad core in pretty much anything else.

Good specs and price but shipped with a dead pixel.

I would totally recommend it's just that I was unlucky to get a dead pixel.

It has awesome specs for the everyday person and even some light to medium gaming potential

The laptop shipped out of the box with a dead pixel; when I'm paying 1400 (aud) for a laptop and shipping with a dead pixel; that's pretty bad

Very good

Excellent everyday laptop. Fast CPU, fast wifi (1% faster than MacBook Pro by Rogers speed test). Good size SSD, backlit keyboard, very light laptop and power adapter (which is exactly the size of old macbook 65W adaper but lighter) - very good for working on the road or taking on a trip.

ASUS Zenbook UX430UN-GV029T Premium Entertainment Ultrabook in Blue-NIL Colour 14" FHD screen in a 13" Chassis Intel i5-8250U 8GB 256GB M.2 SSD MX150 2GB Graphics NO-DVD Win10Home 64bit 1yr warranty - only 1.25kg

Had this laptop for about a month now and I can only say great things about it. Its super light weight with a great screen and battery life. one thing that I don't like about it is how hot it runs when playing games but I guess that is because its so thin and light.

This laptop is splendid. Lightweight, fast, nice screen. I would've liked more ports but I just bought a USB C hub with 4 USB A 3.0 ports. It does has a little coil whine (I believe it's the SSD) but it happens only on full stress and it is not that often, I can hardly ever notice it if it's still...

Twice defective

This was the second one of these I bought from Costco for my son to use at college. When the first one arrived there was a minor problem - the fingerprint reader didn't work. Calls to the concierge service, with driver updates did not provide a reliable fix.

Great build quality. Runs beautifully. Slightly noisy fan but still incredible.

of ultrabooks in the PC market, with companies endlessly cranking out slim Windows 10 machines, making it difficult to keep track of the latest models and choose a laptop that's right for you.

Solid ultraportable design; sharp and accurate display; and an impressive keyboard

No Thunderbolt 3; Kaby Lake R rather than Coffee Lake CPUs; middling battery life
