Asus ZenBook Pro Duo

So the ZenBook Pro Duo works best as an experiment for early adopters who love tinkering with settings and exploring novel features. As an added bonus, it's $1,000 less than an similarly equipped MacBook Pro.

Unique ScreenPad Plus second display simplifies workflows; Main display is an OLED panel; Excellent design and build quality; Intel Core i9 and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 offer computing muscle; Included stylus and wrist rest

Cramped keyboard and touchpad; No SD card reader; Heavy; Short battery life

ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo Review

ASUS first introduced the ZenBook Pro Duo in Computex 2019 in Taiwan. It's a new kind of laptop designed for heavy users and multitaskers thanks to its dual-screen design, stylus, and powerful hardware. It's a multimedia beast with a heavy price tag.

Overall aesthetics of the laptop; Bright OLED 4K main panel; Ease of multitasking due to the dual screens; Inclusion of a stylus; Smooth overall performance

Asus ZenBook Pro Duo review: The best dual-screen laptop yet

Asus' ZenBook Pro Duo proves dual-screen laptops aren't just a gimmick

Innovative dual-screen design; Exceptional multi-core performance; Color-accurate; OLED display; Capable as a gaming machine; Keyboard is enjoyable

Thick and heavy; No SD card slot; Uncomfortable touchpad

Asus ZenBook Pro Duo UX581

The Asus ZenBook Pro Duo is an interesting spin on the classic laptop design, with two 4K screens and a huge amount of firepower built into its body. However, it feels like there are a few too many compromises made to house the second screen – known as the Screenpad Plus.

Gorgeous OLED main screen; Screenpad Plus is an interesting concept; Powerful specs; Great build quality

Very expensive; Bulky; Screenpad Plus isn't essential; Some issues with fullscreen apps and games

Perfect Mobile Workstation Laptop

Great for production and professional use. I specifically like using mine with After FX, Photoshop and several other Video Production and 3D applications.

Asus ZenBook Pro Duo: Are two 4K displays overkill

The latest premium offering from Asus features dual 4K touch displays. But is it more than a gimmick

Superpowered internals; Vivid 4K OLED primary display; Second screen is genuinely useful

Awkward ergonomics; Thermal management issues; ScreenPad Plus software needs work

2 screens are a game changer!

As someone who is constantly switching between spreadsheets, and multiple webpages, having the 2 screens on a laptop is a game changer! My regular work station has 3 monitors, so trying to work from home or on the road takes 10x longer on a small laptop, but this fixes most of that problem.

Asus ZenBook Pro Duo (UX581GV) review: Dual screens make your workspace seem bigger on the inside

We wouldn't say that there are a plethora of cutting-edge dual screen and OLED laptops, but their numbers are growing slowly. The 15-inch Asus ZenBook Pro Duo is the first to put them together in the same laptop, making it a potential photo-editing powerhouse and a workhorse in cramped spaces-- if you don't mind the weight and don't need good battery life.

With an OLED main display and a supplemental monitor as well as powerful components, the Asus ZenBook Pro is a strong contender as a photo-editing champ.

The second screen adds some breathing room to your workspace, and its OLED display offers a wide color gamut; Equipped with the eight-core Core i9 processor, it delivers great performance, too.

No Ethernet; the keyboard is uncomfortable without the wrist rest; mediocre battery life; and it's heavy.

Asus ZenBook Pro Duo Review

In the ZenBook Pro Duo, Asus is thinking about big-screen laptops in a whole new way. The Taiwanese tech giant has plastered almost every practical square inch of the inside of this futuristic laptop with touch screens. The machine has a 15.6-inch 4K OLED touch display where laptop screens typically go, and another 14-inch-wide display above the keyboard. It's a brilliant concept for digital artists who need as much screen real estate as possible, and it's backed up by serious computing power in the form of an Intel Core i9 CPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. At a starting price of $2,499, it's not cheap, and the model we're reviewing here rings up at $2,999. For power users who live life on the bleeding edge, the ZenBook Pro Duo might not be quite yet, but it still might be worth every penny depending on how you work. Two Screens, One Sight to Behold The ZenBook Pro Duo's main screen is a 4K OLED display with a native resolution of 3,840 by 2,160 pixels. The ScreenPad Plu...

The Asus ZenBook Pro Duo is a thoughtful, albeit pricey, reinvention of the laptop, with a second screen in the keyboard base and an Intel Core i9 processor that should appeal to creative professionals with resource-intensive workflows.
