Asus VG278H 3D Monitor Review

The combination of 3D Lightboost technology and the new 3D Vision 2 glasses allowed me to have some of the most incredible 3D experiences of my life. If you think that 3D is only as good as what you see in the movie theatres, then you are mistaken.

Nvidia G-SYNC technology is something that is hard to put into words but if you try it you will understand it and it will be tough to game without it. Monitor price is a bit high so far; Only works on Nvidia GPUs

Asus ROG Swift PG278Q 144hz G-Sync Monitor (w/ GTX 780Ti ROG Matrix)

Today we review the highly anticipated Asus ROG Swift PG278Q. This 27 inch Nvidia G-SYNC monitor runs at WQHD 2560×1440 resolution, features a 144hz refresh rate and a 1ms (gtg) response time to cater to the most demanding gamer.

Super smooth motion at the highest settings; well thought out interface system – we love the nipple/joystick system; build quality; strongest; most versatile monitor stand system we have seen; very good ‘out of the box' setup

The cost will be too prohibitive for many; AMD users will need to buy Nvidia hardware to take advantage of G-SYNC; Be prepared to invest in expensive graphics hardware if you want consistent 100+ frame rates at 1440p in the latest DX11 games; Only $799 in America but £720 in UK ($1235)

ASUS VG278H LCD Monitor 3D Vision-2 Kit

Think for a moment about how you watch movies. When the latest blockbuster movie comes out, people usually flock to the theaters so they can enjoy it on the 'big screen'. Conversely, some people prefer to watch movies at home on a widescreen HDTV.

Includes NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 second-generation glasses; 27-Inch 1920x1080p high-definition widescreen display; HDMI; component video; and DVI-D input; 50,000,000:1 ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio; 2ms Response time (gray to gray; 120Hz Refresh rate improves 2D definition as well; 3-Year ASUS warranty...

Menu buttons blend into bezel in dark environments; Not equipped with integrated speakers; Requires modern GeForce video card for 3D effects; Expensive enthusiast product

Asus VG278H

3D just got a lot easier on the eye - but the compromises 3D panels make remain an issue.

Amazing 3D; Bundled glasses; Height-adjustable

Image quality and chassis disappoint

ASUS ROG PG278Q Swift G-Sync Monitor Review

ASUS aren't exactly new to the monitor world. In fact two of our favourite monitors of all time are ASUS models, including the very recently reviewed 4K screen that was extremely good value.

Excellent Monitor

I bought this monitor as an upgrade to my old 24" ASUS that has done well for that last 5 years. It's bright, colors are vibrant for 1080p, refresh rate works up to 144hz, the stand is amazing, comes with all necessary cables, power cable it long (good thing), and I love the 27" size.

ASUS VG278HE review

Asus's VG278HE could lay claim to being the ultimate gaming monitor. It's a 27in 1080p LCD with Nvidia 3D Vision support and a huge 144Hz refresh rate for super-smooth visuals.

Best 1080p 144hz

I bought this monitor on sale on Black Friday. The colors out of the box are not great. Tweaking the settings in Game Mode I found was the best. 1080p is fine for gaming but I did notice a monitor of this size reading text on web browsers you can see the individual pixels.

144hz

-Color reproduction -Calibration out of the box -1080p (see summary -No Dvi-D cable
