"Rootin'-tootin' fastest WiFi in the west... side of my house."

I have so many things to review, so many things this month that I am completely spoilt for choice, but right now the best gadget in my life is this wonderful contraption I have recently procured from PC World, so I shall start with that.

Really fast; great VPN speeds; stealth mode..

Quite expensive

Great router

At last I have got a good WiFi signal and broadband speeds, been suffering for ages with the rubbish virgin superhub3,put the crappyhub 3 into to modem mode, connected the ASUS and wow what a difference over doubled my speed and got a stable signal. Very happy

I can get signal in all corners of my flat. Previously I was struggling to get any signal in some areas. The speed has improved. File sharing from my USB 3.0 hard disk a breeze over Wifi.

Powerhouse

Buy this only if you know what you want, this is capable to serve a small office, but i use it in my home to power my 3 TVS with 4K content from a NAS. Again its very powerful and might be overkill for you, buy you know you need this!

Review: Asus' 802.11ac modem-router brings its A-game

Asus has made a name for itself in the router game, typically providing high-performance units with plenty of flexibility. The DSL-AC68U continues the tradition. It's rated at 1,900Mbps -- that is, a single 802.11AC stream capable of 1,300Mbps, combined with a 2.4GHz stream rated up to 600Mbps.

Asus continues its strong showing with its high performing, extensively optioned router; Its VDSL capability could mean future-proofing for some

The price will sting; and for those with USB plans; you only get one port

Great router, very surprised as to how easy to setup it was!

Very good piece of kit, originally I bought the DSL version of this router (one that has the modem built in) and it was a nightmare so I sent it back and picked up this model, If you are on BT Infinity you will need the old Open Reach white modem to provide the internet and then this routes it to...

ASUS RT-AC68U Gigabit WiFi Router Dual-Band Tri-Stream AC1900, 5 x Gigabit LAN, 2 x USB, 3 x HighPerformance Antennas MIMO, Beamforming, Smart Connect, QoS, VPN, Traffic Analyzer, Dual-WAN

A fantastic router. I'm getting 200Mbps speeds 20 metres away through a wall. Set up is pretty straightforward, but there are plenty of features available for network management if you want them. Streaming Netflix and downloading games from Steam are both effortless and smooth.

"A massive improvement on my old N300 router, no drop-outs"

Nice and easy to set-up, no drop-outs and improved coverage.

High performance for a good price

I was replacing an older Linksys Wireless-N router and the biggest issue I had was range and stability. The Asus RT-AC68U has been solid for about a week now. I am most impressed with the range.

Good product while it worked and was easy to setup, but died after about 18 months

I've heard issues about DOA devices and ones that die after a few months - I've only had it running for about a week now and there have been no issues.

Setup was fairly painless and should be easy to follow for those not familiar or perhaps comfortable with trying to configure a router

Purchased 12/29/15, died 8/22/17; No power; Came home today and the internet was having issues with verifying security certificates; I power cycled the modem and router, but power never came back on for the router; I tried plugging it into several different outlets, but to no avail.
