With the wireless spectrum starved for bandwidth, the steady move towards the next generation 802.11AC standard couldn't be coming at a better time. ASUS has been at the forefront of this movement from day one and their new AC68-series (consisting of the RT-AC68U and PCE-AC68) builds upon their...

Great investment for your home Wi-fi

This router has it all. Works flawlessly on my act broadband service to provide the best speed on the 5ghz band. Also supports video streaming without any hickups. Highly recommended

ASUS RT-AC68U Review

ASUS' RT line of routers has developed a reputation for outstanding speeds and high quality, and the company has made significant improvements with each generation. The $219 ASUS RT-AC68U is the current result of that refining process.

Fast; Excellent throughput; Thoughtful design; Powerful firmware; Easy access to files away from home

Slow at 5 feet; Costly cloud sync

Great at first

Have done all the firmware updates. Thought that maybe it was corrected but it still provides poor throughput after 1 day and then barfs it all a couple of days later. If I had paid $50, I would not be so bitter but it was over $200 on special!

Excellent visibility into which devices are consuming data. Great manageability Worked fine for 8 months

Got tired, I guess Required reboots every 3 days, sometimes wouldn't recover on the first reboot; Keep in mind these are physical reboots; When you are on the road, there is no accessing the network remotely as it is cratered

excelent router

I have 1 of there routers loaded with dd-wrt and running 3 separate VLANS into separate switches. The wireless gives good coverage and stable connections - all in all a good buy

very good router, has boost my internet speed up very well as I have about 9 devices in the house so this router is very useful to keep all connectivity running smoothly. and also I think it is so good how you can connect a hardrive to it and you can find the hardrive on your pc, tablet, smart phone...

Good but a bit expensive

Have had this for around two months and very happy with it. Range is good and admin screens far better than I'be seen elsewhere. Only downside - it's quite expensive, you may want to consider others in the Asus range if you don't need all the features this model offers.

Asus RT-AC68U

Most probably one of the best routers I have ever used. 10-15 mins from removing from box to having up and running and with the Android software made it even better.
