In 2017, when it shipped the Gladius II, it barely changed a thing about the mouse's look and feel: The biggest tweaks were more colorful lighting and a second resolution-adjustment button on its left side. In 2018, after finding that players didn't love how easy it was to click that new button by mistake, Asus rolled out a second version, the $99.99 Gladius II Origin, which has all the internal improvements it made from the Gladius to Gladius II, but without the button. The Gladius II Origin feels good to use and is well-made, but we'd like to see Asus move on to a new and innovative design, and tweak the software experience, which is outpaced by the likes of competitors Corsair and Razer.
