ASUS Cerberus V2 Stereo Gaming Headset Review

The latest Cerberus headset from ASUS is a big step up from their original Cerberus headset. The cost-saving approach of the old model was apparent in terms of the features, build quality and the overall design. However, ASUS has upped their game this time around.

Nice build quality; Punchy 53mm drivers; Great for movies; music and gaming; Dual microphones; Detachable boom microphone; Compatible with PC; mobile; and consoles; Competitive price; A big upgrade from the Cerberus V1

Overall a great update from the first generation. Comfy, sounds great, and delivers clear voice recording.

Asus Cerberus V2

Asus Cerberus V2 is the successor to the company's bestselling headset. Now equipped with a stainless steel headband and the new "Essence drivers", it's supposed to be sturdier and better sounding.

Asus Cerberus V2

Gaming headsets from big-brand computer companies are all the rage again, and Asus has re-entered the mid-range market with the Cerberus V2. It faces tough competition from the likes of HyperX, but with its stylish design and good audio quality, this is a top-notch stereo headset for those who want...

Attractive design; Great sound quality; Robust build

Might not fit bigger heads; Metal band can be annoying; In-line mic isn't great

ASUS Cerberus V2 Review

The Cerberus headset originally served ASUS as their entry-to-mid range offering which was effectively a 'Siberia' clone packed with 60mm drivers. The recipe was inherently pleasing for many people as it gave powerful gaming audio, solid construction and good comfort.

ASUS Cerberus V2 Headset Review

Over the last few years, ASUS and its Republic of Gamers sub-brand has been focusing more and more on gaming peripherals. Today we analyse the Cerberus V2 gaming headset, a fairly basic device that lacks extra mod-cons such as RGB lighting while connecting via a standard 3.5mm jack.

Comfortable; Well-built; Great for gaming; 3.5mm jacks adds versatility; as opposed to a USB connection

Ear cushions could be softer; Stiff competition around this price-point

PC user Avoid! Go for something USB powered instead.

It looks nice. The shade of blue is very soothing. Mmm. The good stuff ends there. The microphones are terrible. TERRIBLE. As a content creator / micro social media influencer (both of these terms I find laughable, but if you're in this camp then listen up) I would avoid this product.

"Great"

Headset works fine, bought it 3 months ago and everything works fine still very comfortable the sound is really great and the mic is easy to adjust. I used to have a very bad mic but this turned it around. Altogether, give it a try people.
