Assassin's Creed Origins review

Hadyn heads to ancient Egypt for the latest Assassin's Creed.

Gigantic map; Fantastic atmosphere; Lush setting

The voice acting will at times make you cringe; Some side quest dialogue is especially bad; The glitches! There are so many, and there's a good chance they'll never get patched

Amazing game, even before it was officially released!

The previous reviewer does not understand the concept of early access/beta testing. I have put 1,000+ hours into the PC version in early access and have LOVED every minute of it. It's far better now than when it first began. Very well worth the purchase! You will not be disappointed!

"Best assassin's creed game ever"

Absolutely love this game. The graphics are stunning, game play is super smooth and not clunky at all unlike the previous games. Lot's of attention to detail and a very rich world.

Assassin's Creed Origins Review

Having had the privilege of playing a lot of Assassin's Creed Origins ahead of its late October release through lengthy sessions across E3 , Gamescom and locally with Ubisoft Australia, I gained a unique perspective on just how far the game has come.

Assassin's Creed Origins review – ankhs for nothing

A soft reboot for Assassin's Creed seems to be just what was needed, but does this new game go far enough

The setting is very well realised, with impressive attention to historical detail; Plenty of content and the hawk is a lot of fun to use; Loser structure is definitely a benefit

Movement always feels clumsy and imprecise, especially in combat; Dull open world environment and story; Restrictive levelling system and far too many bugs

Assassin’s Creed Origins Review – Egyptian Addiction

A lot of this review is framed within the context of Assassin's Creed as a whole and its shortcomings, in a lot of ways, it has to be. A series can't go on for ten years, take a break, and then return with almost all of the same damn issues.

Combat and stealth mechanics are more responsive; complex; and involving; Egypt is a beautiful; varied setting; Open mission design doesn't punish deviation or failure; Plenty of interesting stuff to do

Story tries to juggle too many threads; Tags

Assassin's Creed Origins review

Assassin's Creed returns and its vast and evocative Egypt inspires wonder - even if much in the game remains familiar.

Assassin's Creed: Origins (PlayStation 4) Review

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and more ready for a hidden blade right through the centre. Assassin's Creed: Origins is an absolutely stellar return to form and even those who have previously not enjoyed the series would be wise to give it a second shot here.
