Assassin's Creed

There is something in this game for everyone but the highly detailed open world comes at a cost. The missions can get repetative very quickly for some but luckily you are not forced to do every single small side mission to complete your main objectives.

Graphics and animation; Open world gameplay

Repetive missions

Assassin's Creed

There are times when Assassin's Creed feels like the future of videogames. It plays with heavy ideas and spectacular technology. It fli...

High-concept idea; Exhilarating rooftop running; Freedom to choose

Sci-fi allows lazy design; Repetitive missions; Terrible final 2 hours

Assassin's Creed Xbox 360 Review

I wish I were a hitman. Seriously. From Agent 47 to Leon, they get the best of everything – the biggest guns, the fastest cars, the smartest getaways and the very best of lines. There's not a single hitman as depicted in popular media that I didn't want to be.

Assassin's Creed

The sandbox approach in Assassin's Creed provides decent entertainment. The only question is: for how long That would depend on your preferences, really. If the recurring mission structure doesn't bother you, this could prove to be a fun ride all the way.

Looks and sounds awesome; new missions add a much needed variety to the gameplay; decent controls

Hardware requirements exceed those of Crysis; certainly not entertaining enough if you've already played the 360 and PS3 editions; AI quirks; recurring mission structure

Assassin's Creed: Unity Review

I didn't believe Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag to be the return to form for the series as some thought it to be. Its naval warfare quickly grew wearisome and the less said about the interminable tail and eavesdrop missions, the better.

Assassin's Creed Liberation HD

Aveline de Grandpré isn't the first Assassin's Creed hero to come from a privileged background, but she's certainly the first to exploit it so ruthlessly. Liberation HD represents multiple firsts for the series, actually: the first female protagonist, the first handheld game to be ported to XBLA,...

+ Wonderfully novel, engaging tie between main character's background and gameplay; fascinating look at a different kind of colonial American life, + Superb voice-acting; notably fluid freerunning

- Sense of story completely fragmented; use of personas could go deeper; sparse on side activities, particularly for an Assassin's Creed game, ?

Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD

Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD is an agreeable adventure that die-hard fans of the series are certain to enjoy. Those who look upon Black Flag as the reinvention of an ailing franchise are advised to leave their expectations at the door however, as this is a grounded affair similar to the AC titles...

Assassin's Creed

Hmmm. It looked so good in promo movies shown a year ago, even though you could spot some horrible tearing as the camera swivelled and a few other glitches as well. Ah whatever, the animation was so damn good and the intense fighting action looked to be well done too, Assassin's Creed promised to be...

Altair's animation and free running agility is a joy to watch; Remarkably detailed realisation of Holy Land locations; You can get truly medieval on enemies with some brutally realistic moves; Busy; heaving; well-populated cities; Occasionally provides great atmosphere and sweeping vistas; Plenty to...

Some tearing and the odd glitch; Being an assassin is not as varied as it should be; Not enough stealth; Missions become samey after a while; The animus plot "twist" in the game is underdeveloped and frankly; crap

Disappointing!

Ubisoft have worked hard on this game, not just in developing it but also marketing it. When we saw the first videos of Assassin's Creed the reception was very positive. A huge, sprawling city set in the swords and sandals world of the twelfth century Middle East replete with cinematic, acrobatic...

Assassin's Creed review

This is a one-weekend experience.

The next generation of open-city gameplay! Some of the best animations out there; Gorgeous graphics and starts out very exciting and fun

Becomes very repetitive and the story depends too much on there being a sequel
