Assassin's Creed Liberation HD

When Assassin's Creed Liberation was released on the Vita, the series' ever-growing ambition and scope seemed watered-down and constrained, despite Sony's powerful hardware. Sadly, seeing it on a bigger screen has only placed a spotlight on its lackluster design.

Cool main character

Inconsistent graphics; Choppy story; Boring missions; Persona system

Assassin's Creed Liberation HD

Aveline de Grandpré isn't the first Assassin's Creed hero to come from a privileged background, but she's certainly the first to exploit it so ruthlessly. Liberation HD represents multiple firsts for the series, actually: the first female protagonist, the first handheld game to be ported to XBLA,...

+ Wonderfully novel, engaging tie between main character's background and gameplay; fascinating look at a different kind of colonial American life, + Superb voice-acting; notably fluid freerunning

- Sense of story completely fragmented; use of personas could go deeper; sparse on side activities, particularly for an Assassin's Creed game, ?

Ubisoft ups the Ante

So we all agree that the last AC game as better than the first right Than could we say that this one is better than AC II Yes we can. The fact is, that Ubisoft put its heart and soul into trying to make Brotherhood better than the first, and in that regard they have succeeded.

Assassin's Creed Liberation HD

There are a few things that you need to know if you're considering buying Assassin's Creed Liberation HD. The game is a re-issue of a PlayStation Vita game released at about the same time Assassin's Creed III appeared on consoles.

Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD

The year is 1765, and we are introduced to Aveline de Grandpré of French African descent. Abandoned by her mother and taken in by a wealthy merchant family, Aveline is trained in the arts of an assassin by a rather interesting and unlikely mentor, and in a time of unrest and on the verge of war we...

Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD

Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD is an agreeable adventure that die-hard fans of the series are certain to enjoy. Those who look upon Black Flag as the reinvention of an ailing franchise are advised to leave their expectations at the door however, as this is a grounded affair similar to the AC titles...

It's easy to imagine a big-budget game tackling slavery with the subtlety of a hammer, but Freedom Cry is an emotional triumph...with some ethical issues.

Test Assassin's Creed
