With a fun, but short, campaign and a story that isn't very interesting, Army of Two is at its best when playing with a friend. The versus mode is where Army of Two is most entertaining, because of it's two-on-two competition to see who can complete the most objectives.
A few campaigns into Army of Two, and mercenaries Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem are lugging their risible body armour, pimped hand-cannons and mismatched names towards their next encounter with a bunch of insurgents who look like a street gang, in an army base that looks like a skate park, in an Iraq...
Morally reprehensible. That's probably the best way to sum up EA's new buddy shooter in a quick soundbite and kick this review off. The world is diving into dark times with more and more terrorist and criminal organisations springing up each day than you can shake a stick at. The Military cannot cope, and contracts are being handed out to Private Military Corporations (PMC) just to maintain the balance of order.
Shooting/Action/Co-op You would see the biggest gift would be from me and the card attached would say…. Bloody hell… I remember reading about this in the summer of 2006 a few months before I bought my 360. At the time it seemed like a fairly original concept.
EA's eagerly anticipated 3rd Person shooter has suffered numerous delays over the past year and has now hit our shelves, but has it been worth the wait?
