The Apple Watch Series 7 is an excellent smartwatch. It’s not the massive upgrade some were hoping for — but it doesn’t necessarily need to be. The larger display is nice, and I appreciate the efforts Apple is making to improve on charging.

This new iterative smartwatch focuses on biking, and the battery life still stinks.- Bigger, beautiful display. New QWERTY keyboard to ditch texting on your phone. Faster charging. Updated algorithms, especially for biking. The usual full suite of health features. Seamless incorporation with Apple software and hardware.
- Battery still barely lasts a full day. Not enough newness to convince me to upgrade.

It’s worth pointing out that the Apple Watch isn’t just a watch. All a regular timepiece has to do is keep time, and maybe a couple of other functions. An Apple Watch (and every other smartwatch) will end up doing a whole lot more.- Great looking wearable, Easily one of the best screens for any smartwatch, Larger display helps to make the Apple Watch stand out and feel iconic, Excellent health set trickled over from the Series 6
- Battery still struggles to hit a day, Still only works with the iPhone, Expensive, No major reason to upgrade: the only major differences between the S6 and the S7 are the screen size and a couple of new watch faces
