Weirdly, the fact that the Apple Watch Series 6 is the very best smartwatch by a huge margin feels anticlimactic. That’s probably because the same was true of the Series 5, the Series 4, and even the Series 3.
Pros:
- Big, bright display, Solid ecosystem of third-party complications, Built-in sleep tracking
Cons:
- Still no third-party watch faces, Still no Android phone support, Blood oxygen monitoring is unreliable.

Despite the new sensors feeling like a tick-box exercise, there's still no better smartwatch on the market. It's just that this time around it offers many features you'll want, along with many that you aren't aware you'd want, plus lots that you'll simply never use.
Pros:
- New dimmed display option, Display is brighter than before, Fluid performance, Lovely design options for both size options
Cons:
- No game-changing improvements over Series 5, Sleep tracking raises battery charging questions, Altimeter doesn't feel well executed, Why do we have a blood oxygen monitor?

Apple debuted the new Apple Watch Series 6 earlier this month and I've been testing out the new (PRODUCT)RED 44mm GPS model. At first glance it doesn't seem much different than the Apple Watch Series 5 , but there's more than meets the eye.
Pros:
- Gorgeous, refined hardware, Bright and useful always-on mode, Blood oxygen sensor, Sleep tracking capability, Excellent third party application support
Cons:
- Expensive, Battery life about the same as Series 5, Limited sleep details

- Always-on-Display is very bright, Feels really fast, Quicker charging
Cons:
- Sleep Tracking is limited, Blood Oxygen monitoring could be more useful, Battery life isn’t amazing

In the growing lineup of new Apple Watches, I see only two options worth considering of the three: the Series 6 and Series 3. There are two main reasons to buy an Apple Watch: health and fitness or a fun complimentary phone gadget. Those both leave the Apple Watch SE in a strange place.
Pros:
- Quicker-charging battery with same all-day life., Brighter outdoor display., Sleek new colors., Same great tracking abilities with a new sensor for SpO2 and the tried-and-true ECG., More activity tracking modes added to an already long list.
Cons:
- Sleep tracking is less detailed than competitors' while being no better than any of them., Activity trends could still use more guidance., Family Setup seems rather pointless
- give us Android phone compatibility!, Aging looks, even with new colors., Still an expensive watch.

- The already bright always-on screen is now brighter, Charging is faster, Processor is more powerful
Cons:
- Overall an iterative update over its predecessor, Best watchOS 7 features also coming to older versions, Apple Watch SE offers similar functionality
