For pretty much as long as smartwatches have been a thing, the Apple Watch has been treated by many as the gold standard.
Pros:
- Incredibly smooth software experience
- Great look and feel
Cons:
- You have to own an iPhone
- No ECG in Australia

Apple Watch Series 4 review
Just as Samsung, Google and the Wear OS gang look like they're catching up to Apple, it goes and streaks ahead. The truth is that the Apple Watch Series 4 is in a different league right now, and balances style, features and specs to make an excellent smartwatch.
Pros:

- More expensive
- Battery life still short
- Siri integration still not great

Sure, Apple Watch is a huge success, outselling all rivals, but there are still a lot of fence-sitters not sure if it's really a worthwhile addition to their Apple ecosystem. And not everyone is a watch person. If this sounds like you, it's time to get off the fence.

Apple Watch Series 4 Stainless Steel (44mm, Space Grey, Cellular) - Excellent review
The updated Series 4 Apple Watch is a fantastic wearable. The bigger screen makes a huge difference, as do the niceties such as the haptic feedback when you turn the crown. WatchOS 5 is by far the best of its type, and its easier and speedier than even on the Series 4.

Out of the all the products Apple unveiled during its September event – which include the , and – it was the Apple Watch Series 4 that really stood out. This is because, while the bevy of iPhones received minor updates, Apple's wearable was completely redesigned.
Pros:
- Feels great to wear
- Screen is gorgeous
- Huge amount of strap options
- Fantastic array of fitness and health features
- It motivates you so well to be active
Cons:
- It won't last multiple days without needing a charge
- Still won't track sleep natively
- No always-on display is irritating
