The Apple Watch Series 4 and Samsung Galaxy Watch faceoff
If you take a look at the smartwatch market, Apple and Samsung are currently the two manufacturers that stand out most from the crowd. And it's exactly these two that have now launched new models, the Watch Series 4 and the Galaxy Watch , respectively, which of course are supposed to be better than...
Apple Watch Series 4 Stainless Steel (44mm, Space Grey, Cellular) - Excellent review
“It looks like you’re working out,” the watch face reads. That’s followed by a big, yellow button, suggesting I start an indoor run. I tap the neon button and the clock starts, comping me a reasonable approximation of the time it took for the Watch to be sure what sort of activity it was detecting.

Apple Watch Series 4 Review: Bigger Screen and a Whole Lot More
After two weeks with my Apple Watch Series 4 I'm still glad I bought it, and I was upgrading from the very capable Apple Watch Series 3. The big thing for me right now is the larger and brighter display. The stronger haptic feedback and louder speaker are nice plusses, too.- Bigger and brighter watch face
- new heart rate sensors
- better speaker
- old watchbands still fit
- Auto-sensing for ending some workouts is too aggressive
- stainless steel models are available only with Wi-Fi plus LTE
- settings like Theater Mode still don't mirror between iPhone and Apple Watch
- battery life not good enough for back country use
The new Apple Watch has a larger screen, thanks to its edge display. It's lighter, louder, and packs more features. The GPS variant starts at Rs 40,900, while Cellular variant starts at Rs 49,900 In the hyperactive world of gadgets, it typically takes three iterations for a product to discover its...
Apple Watch Series 4 Stainless Steel (44mm, Space Grey, Cellular) - Excellent review
If one were to pull out a feature comparison of the Apple Watch Series 4 versus the Series 3, specific to sports and fitness, they’d likely just go ‘shrug’. Ultimately, the differences just aren’t there in the hardware side of things.
Watch Series 4: What price 'freedom' About as much as you'd expect from an Apple product
One non-obvious point arises from using a range of wearables and it isn't mentioned often enough. While the iPhone may not be the best phone (let's park that argument), the combination of iPhone and Watch trumps any other combination.
All in all, the Apple Watch Series 4 is a very impressive bit of kit. Not only is it able to accurately track a host of workouts - being intuitive and a pleasure to use throughout - but it is also a beautiful and super premium lifestyle device.
- Larger display
- slimmer chassis
- gorgeous design
- lightweight
- smooth performance and navigation
- Pricey
- battery life still only 2 days
- won't track sleep natively
- no always-on display option
