Apple Watch Series 4 40mm Aluminium Case
According to Apple, the Series 4 represents "a fundamental redesign and re-engineering of Apple Watch." As a result, watch out for a lot of very cool changes, from the curved corners to the all-new and larger display.
A MUCH bigger display
The Series 4 provides lots to talk about but it's the display that is capturing the most attention. The narrow borders deliver a viewing area that’s over 30 per cent larger! The curved corners match the radius of the case, allowing for images and the touch surface to almost extend to the very edge of the screen.
Bigger display means new interface
Because of the bigger display, the design of the interface has been remodelled with the new Infograph watch face now capable of handling eight complications, allowing you to do more and see more at a glance.
Never skip a beat
The optical heart sensor has always been a feature of the Apple Watch, but in the Series 4 it can now detect if your heart rate falls below a specified threshold for a period of 10 minutes, and activates a low-heart-rate notification as a result.
More than just a processor
The Series 4 is a complete SiP a System in Package. This means the entire system is fabricated onto a single component with some incredible capabilities crammed into that small device.
It sounds better
The Apple Watch Series 4 boasts improvements in virtually every sense, and that includes a speaker that's 50 % louder for enhanced audio quality for things like Siri and the Walkie-Talkie function. Meanwhile, the microphone is now on the other side of the watch to minimise echo when making phone calls.
A newer model Apple Watch Series 5 40mm Aluminium was released in September 2019.

Review: Apple Watch Series 4 is the full realization of what a wearable can and should do
Apple takes unjustified heat for iterating on a product year after year. By not tossing out the whole platform and design, however, the company has created a game-changer with the Apple Watch Series 4.

Apple Watch Series 4 Review: This is the one
Has there been a learning experience for Apple quite like the Apple Watch Back when the original model launched in 2015, there was – not unfairly – a sense that Apple itself wasn't quite sure what exactly it should do.- Mesmerizing new display

Roughly two-and-half minutes into my run, the watch kicks in. There's a haptic buzz on my wrist. "It looks like you're working out," the watch face reads. That's followed by a big, yellow button, suggesting I start an indoor run.
Apple Watch Series 4 review: the best gets better
The greatest Apple product comeback story of the past few years has, without a doubt, been the Apple Watch. Launched with great fanfare four years ago , the initial version tried to do way too much with way too little , and it had confusing software to boot.- Great battery life
- Huge
- beautiful screen
- Health-tracking features
- not just fitness
- Siri is still unreliable
- No always-on screen option
- Complication options can be confusing
