Apple Watch Series 3 Review
Smartwatches are one of those things where not everyone needs but secretly they do want one. Sure, it's nice to have a smartwatch but it just eliminates just one less step of pulling out your phone.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Comes in a variety of case and band options
- Nice display
- Watch is super quick
- Siri on the Apple Watch is a nice addition
- Good selection of watchfaces to choose from
Cons:
- Battery life hasn't increased from previous models
- Can be pricey depending on what bands/case you choose
- Getting around watchOS 4 is a bit convoluted
- LTE connectivity is limited to two carriers

In many ways the most important new features of the Apple Watch Series 3 aren’t at all new hardware. Sure, cellular connectivity and its red dot gets all the attention, but I haven’t seen it be a huge deal for my day to day workouts.

Well, long story short, I'm keeping the Apple Watch Series 3 for the following reasons: refinement, material/build quality, enhanced Apple ecosystem experience, and added motivation.
Pros:
- Excellent material/build quality
- Best smartwatch OS to date
- Enhanced Apple ecosystem experience
- Great motivational tool
- Built-in LTE
Cons:
- Expensive

Apple Watch Series 3
Plenty of improvements and upgrades on a proven formula – the Apple Watch 3 is the best smartwatch available.
Pros:
- Snappier performance
- Improved exercise tracking
- Super-bright and clear display
- Decent battery life (when not reliant on LTE
- watchOS 4 improvements
- Apple Pay is still super useful
Cons:
- LTE has a big impact on battery life
- Needs more dedicated watch apps to make use of LTE
- Need to wait for Apple Music streaming
- Siri doesn't always work
- No LTE roaming

Pros:
- LTE brings new freedom
- Faster performance
- Call quality is very good
Cons:
- Additional monthly cost to have LTE
- Third-party apps are lacking
- The curious case of the red dot

Apple announced the third generation Apple Watch alongside new iPhones last month. What sets the Series 3 model apart from previous iterations is that it comes with the option to connect it to a cellular network, breaking the requirement to always have an iPhone nearby.
Pros:
- Battery life
- Bright
- sharp display
- Siri integration is much better
- Capable of ditching iPhone for short periods of time
Cons:
- It's more expensive than the non-LTE Apple Watch Series 3
- A monthly fee is a non-starter for some
