Apple Watch review updated a year on: still the best smartwatch around

Apple has definitely made the smartwatch appeal to the mainstream in a way that Pebble and Android Wear didn't. A year on and the Apple Watch is still the best smartwatch available.

Hard to learn interface; Limited useful apps

Love my watch

I use my Apple Watch every day and it is fantastic. Using it for directions is easy and it taps you on the wrist when you need to make turns. Notifications are super quick and easy with the watch.

Apple Watch

The release of the Apple Watch made the prospect of owning a smartwatch much more popular. Apple Watch did not provide any groundbreaking innovations or features, but it does have the usual Apple finesse that makes the fit and finish so aesthetically pleasing.

Easy to set up; Easy to use; Great looking screen; Digital crown is enjoyable to use

Shorter battery life than competitors

Apple Watch 42mm Stainless Steel Case

Editors' note: On September 7, 2016, Apple debuted the Apple Watch Series 2 and revamped the original Apple Watch. Rechristened the Apple Watch Series 1 , the new entry-level model features a faster, dual?core processor; the latest operating system, watchOS 3; and a lower price of $269.

Beautifully constructed; Handles messages well; A solid fitness tracker; Hundreds of apps; Can send and receive voice calls via an iPhone; Lots of design choices; Apple Pay-enabled; Stores music for local playback over Bluetooth

Battery only lasts a little more than a day; Most models and configurations cost more than they should; Requires an iPhone to work; Interface can be confusing; Many apps load slowly; Lacks built-in GPS

It was easy to miss in Apple's barrage of announcements earlier this month, but the Apple Watch Series 1 is actually a different product from the (now-extinct) 1st-generation Apple Watch. If only by a little. We got a Series 1 Watch in house: Read on for our quick review.

Adds great value to your phone

I stop using my phone less, and don't get my wrong, there are things that become some easy when they are reachable from your wrist that feels just natural. WachOS is really snappy and smooth, Siri works better than in my phone and battery life is not that as you think.

Apple Watch Series 1 review

How often should smartwatches iterate It's a difficult question. Motorola isn't seeing the benefit in doing it yearly, and it's not the only one. Apple chose to wait 18 months between the first and second models of its smartwatch, but that may still have been short enough to irk those who spent a...

Faster than original; More affordable than Series 2

Lacks GPS and waterproofing; No stainless steel option

Apple Watch a great product for iPhone owners

The Apple Watch is a hi-tech gadget , It's like having a iPhone and iPad on your wrist . The one draw.back is the watch is designed to work with the iPhone ....... but it can operate without being paired with a iPhone ...but its operation is limited .
