Apple 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display (preview)

Alongside the fanfare of the iPad mini and new new iPad, Apple released a slew of updates for its desktop and laptop lines. The MacBook Pro upgrade sees a new high-resolution ‘Retina’ display for the 13-inch model, as well as some changes under the hood to keep up with constantly-evolving PC competitors.

Apple’s Retina notebook display comes to its 13-inch MacBook Pro, as does a processor update and the introduction of flash-only storage. The portable Mac powerhouse does get harder to tinker with after you’ve bought it, though.

Ultra high-res Retina Display; Updated processors; Fast flash storage;

No option for 1TB storage; No discrete graphics; No removable memory or hard drive;

Apple 13″ MacBook Pro MPXT2LL/A, Retina Display, Newest Version

Later in the fall, we're looking at a possible launch of the 'iPhone 8', which may coincide with the 10th anniversary celebrations, and it looks like a game-changer that will…

Excellent battery life; Thin and light weight; Nice Retina display; Relatively affordable

Middling connectivity, only two USB-C ports; Only 256GB storage, though upgradable

Best laptop I've had in years

I was a Mac guy in the 80's but was forced (at work) to go Windows. I have been pretty happy over the last 30 years with my Windows experience but when I retired I started moving back to Apple.

Nice machine but you'll need expensive add-ons for 'legacy' USB.quot;

While this machine is fast and beautiful Apple has decided to move away from using USB ostensibly to make the MacBook Pro lighter and sleeker.

Love grey mac colour

New Mac Pro great but chargers not magnified any longer. Apple gone back to the old days of chargers which had to be replaced constantly (uumm), no charging light either. No USB port you have to buy adapter £40.disappointed these features have been removed.

Best Apple Laptop Ever but..

Best laptop I have ever had in my life. Ideal for basic computing whether at home or on the go. The laptop is very portable with a thin, and lightweight design, The Hard drive has ample space for storage. Provides blazing-fast downloads and smooth web surfing.

Apple?13" MacBook Pro 2.3GHz 128GB - Space Grey

This macbook pro is the baseline model; The design, SSD and all processing components are all BASELINE; But you would never guess it! This macbook pro even though its the cheapest model is built to last and from the week I've had it, its been the best computer I've ever used

The only negative thing i can say about this laptop is there is no way to access system memory and this can sometimes lead to memory filling up quickly

Great build quality

Great build quality. But I don't get the hoopla about the User Interface or User experience. Windows is far quicker and easier to use. Lack of ports is a real inconvenience. Battery life is phenomenal.
