Apple MacBook Air MQD32 Core i5 1.8GHz 8GB 128GB 13in

As you'd expect, this 13-inch MacBook Air is a performance powerhouse yet it is lightweight and portable.

Inside the MacBook

The internal workings of the MacBook Air make it the superb performer that it is. The 1.8Ghz Intel i5 Dual-Core processor keeps things humming along in seamless fashion, with the 8GB of RAM allowing you to multitask with no problems at all. Add in the 128GB of SSD storage for high speed data access and you have a device that performs at an optimum level when you need it to.

All day charge

All that performance requires serious battery power and such is the efficiency of this laptop that you can expect up to 12 hours on a single full charge.

Great for gaming

The MacBook Air’s performance and power are fantastic for playing games but the display resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels plus the Intel HD Graphics 6000 utility, and the enhanced graphics it provides, takes the gaming experience to another level.

Fantastic Facetime

Video calling is much better when you do it on the MacBook Air, thanks to the 720p FaceTime HD camera.

Sharing, transferring and connecting

The MacBook Air's Thunderbolt 2 port allows for instant sharing and transferring of data. The MacBook also supports dual band WiFi connectivity and can sync with AirPort Extreme and AirPort Time Capsule with ease. Plus, the advanced Bluetooth technology allows you to connect to Bluetooth-enabled devices with the utmost ease.

Apple MacBook Air 13 2017 Laptop (1.8 GHz) Review

Years go by, yet the MacBook Air remains unchanged year after year after year. The most significant changes in notebook design of the last few years, such as higher display resolutions, thinner bezels, and larger displays in similarly sized cases, have all gone unnoticed by the Air.

well made; decent Wi-Fi performance; mostly inaudible under moderate load; decent sound quality; decent battery life; 16:10 display

comparatively large footprint; very limited upgradability and maintainability; TN panel with poor viewing angles; highly reflective display; low resolution; too expensive for what it offers

Apple MacBook Air (2017)

The MacBook Air arguably started the ultrabook party, and it's still there even as a younger, thinner, and better-equipped crowd has arrived. But it has yet to overstay its welcome.

Thin and light; Long-lasting battery; Multiple USB ports

Low-resolution display; Older Intel Core i5 CPU

Apple MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017) Review

You may not have noticed, but Apple upgraded the MacBook Air in 2017. Specifically, the $999 13-inch notebook got a slightly speedier, 1.8-GHz Core i5 CPU, upgrading from a 1.6-GHz Core i5 processor.

Superior in every way

I purchased this on behalf of my husband as I am already a Mac convert and I just knew he would love it - despite being a devoted Windows fan. However after using MacOS for one day he was delighted to changeover.

Apple MacBook Air 13in (mid-2017) review: has Apple changed enough to stay on top

Is the 2017 MacBook Air enough of an upgrade to justify itself

Thin and light construction; incredible battery life

Screen is underwhelming

Great for junior High School

Bought this product online for my son going into Year 7. Has every possible feature he could need. Slim line design makes it light to carry too. He hasn't stopped ‘playing' to learn all its features. The device was on sale, yet still quite expensive - an Apple issue not Harvey Norman.

Best laptop we've ever had

It is blazing fast and super light and thin. Because it is an Apple product I suspect we will still be using this 6-8 years from now. To put this into perspective, before this purchase we were using a 2008 MacBook Pro that still ran like a champ with very few issues over the years, but could not be...

Apple MacBook Air (2017) review

Despite introducing a new MacBook Air in October 2018, Apple is still selling the old version which, while tweaked back in 2017 is essentially a three-year-old machine. Priced at £949/$999 and with an 1.8GHz processor, it might look like a good deal (in comparison to the £1,199/$1,999 price of the...
