The game itself I like and have always enjoyed the Anno series. However, this one drives DRM madness to a whole new level. I spent 3 hours trying to get the game to work. The 3 stars doesn't reflect gameplay, only the technical side of things. The game itself deserves 4 stars.

Absolutely love this title. If you are a civ, world-builder type then you will absolutely love Anno 2070. Gotta love the 1 and done download format as well. Worry free. Not for wimpy video cards though.

The inability to play because of DRM is terrible. There is no excuse for this, and companies like ubi shouldn't be able to get away with it. Time the authorities stamped this sort of thing out.

Anno creator Related Designs scared the bejesus out of their fan base when they announced that their next Anno game would be set in the future rather than the past. As it turned out, we had nothing to worry about; whether historic or futuristic, the Anno formula can be applied to pretty much any age...

Anno 2070 is a beautiful game, with excellent gameplay and stunning map designs. If your looking for an addictive RTS/City Building game you have stumbled across the perfect game!

From there the series jumped around history using 100 years intervals, tackling ever more complex historical eras, allowing the developers to add more mechanics to the game and to change the art style and even managed to make a move to the handheld space.
