Haven't used it yet as baby not due for 4 more weeks, but really thought movement and sensor option was a good idea for baby monitoring.
This was an excellent monitor. We only ever used it with the sensor pad and found it very reliable. The nightlight is a nice feature. Opening the main unit to insert the batteries is tricky - google it and you'll find YouTube videos which make it easy!
We bought the Angelcare AC401 movement and sound Baby Monitor for our eldest grand daughter who had just had her first child. The baby was very small under 4lb and she was quite nervous about not waking up if a problem arose during the night.
we're using the sound monitor component, particularly for naps. As our child is over a year old, fortunately SIDS isn't the issue it was with a younger child. When junior was a new born, we used the baby movement item which provided a lot of comfort...and only a couple of false alarms.
We have used this model of Angel Care monitor since the birth of our child and she is 3 now and we still use it ! It has not given us a days worry ! I only wish it displayed the time as this would have been useful for those early morning feeds, but we have traveled with it and used the battery...

My sister had this kind of monitor for her firstborn and when I heard about these, I knew I needed one, too! I do not tend to worry an extreme amount, but the risk of SIDS does bother me.
This monitor was great while my daughter was very young. Once she reached the age of rolling around her crib, she'd roll in to a corner and we'd get false alarms. At that point we removed the sensor pad and used it more for a sound monitor.
