We have kept the blip noise on to say the baby is still breathing (this can be turned off) and now I don't think I will ever be able to sleep without that blip going on
We have used this model of Angel Care monitor since the birth of our child and she is 3 now and we still use it ! It has not given us a days worry ! I only wish it displayed the time as this would have been useful for those early morning feeds, but we have traveled with it and used the battery...

My sister had this kind of monitor for her firstborn and when I heard about these, I knew I needed one, too! I do not tend to worry an extreme amount, but the risk of SIDS does bother me.
Very sensitive monitor and it is easy to use. Baby hasn't arrived yet, just wonder whether the movement monitor will still be able to detect baby's breathing activity when she grows a bit bigger.

We bought this monitor becasue it had a great feature list and looked good value. However we found the device to be overly complicated and never felt confident in its operation as a monitor. Never sure if its actually working due to the plethora of oprions & menu settings.
Haven't used it yet as baby not due for 4 more weeks, but really thought movement and sensor option was a good idea for baby monitoring.
we're using the sound monitor component, particularly for naps. As our child is over a year old, fortunately SIDS isn't the issue it was with a younger child. When junior was a new born, we used the baby movement item which provided a lot of comfort...and only a couple of false alarms.
Excellent product!
This monitor was great while my daughter was very young. Once she reached the age of rolling around her crib, she'd roll in to a corner and we'd get false alarms. At that point we removed the sensor pad and used it more for a sound monitor.
