Credit: Mike Prospero/Tom's Guide- Has an attractive design
- Its audio is good for the speaker's size
- Built-in camera works well
- Fits well on a nightstand
- Screen is too small to be very useful
- Needs more clockfaces
Amazon Echo Spot review: an almost-perfect smart alarm clock
‘Alexa, are you watching me?'- Crisp
- clear speaker for Alexa's responses
- Bright display with large text that always shows the time
- Microphones pick up voice commands well
- Does all of the things other Echo devices can do
- Do you really want an always-watching camera in your bedroom

- Expensive relative to audio-only Echo devices
- Few third-party apps make use of the display

Amazon Echo Spot Review: The Best Looking Echo You Shouldn't Buy
Amazon recently launched the Echo Spot in India, making it the first major smart speaker with a display in the country. While the company is surely hoping to drive up sales of its Alexa-powered smart speakers by offering customers a varied selection of speakers, the Echo Spot, at its ₹12,999 price...
Amazon Echo Spot review: Full, in-depth review
The Echo Spot feels like a smart speaker that’s definitely for someone - but one that's not going to be for everyone. With the smart speaker category has fetishizing audio quality as much as it does, it’s hard not to see the Amazon Echo Spot as an interesting rebuke to that arm-race. We could have made them look like anything, why do they have to look like speakers? Why not an alarm clock?- Display is neat
- Audio output
- Webcam is creepy
- Expensive
It does heaps, which is great. Given how much it does, the bedroom doesn't do it justice, so we put it in the lounge room. However, it's a bit small there, so one has to squint to see the screen. That's compensated by simply asking Alexa to tell you what you were wanting to know anyway.
Great Item once BT wifi issue resolved
Really excited to receive the Echo Spot, but excitement turned to exasperation when I couldn't get it to connect to my BT wifi. After much research on line, I discovered there is a known compatibility issue with BT broadband but eventually, I found the solution was to switch off the 'smart set up'...
Wow we Love Amazon Echo Spot
Wow we Love Amazon Echo Spot, Smart speaker and screen with Alexa and at the discounted price even better, Alexa turns our lights on and off and our security camera too so very very useful around the house also the photos can be shown on the screen
The smartphone made the standalone alarm clock worthless. Sure you probably know some alarm clock holdouts (a parent or grandmother perhaps), but you probably just use your phon e , which is already resting on the nightstand and has a decent enough alarm.
- It's loud enough to wake me up in the morning
- Creepy nightmares about Jeff Bezos watching me sleep
